I have so much to say about this external filter. It's super easy to setup, i like how the lid gets sucked into position once sealed. I like how it's easily accessible to take parts out to fix. I like how it comes with all the filters that needs no replacement unless you want too. I like how easily cleanable the filters, filter pods, filtration unit, lid tubes water drainage, water sprayer is. I like that i can store this unit anywhere as i dont like units taking up space within my turts tank. The appearance is minimal though does look like a science experiment happening i sort of like it. Noise level of the unit is barely there. You'll feel it vibrate if your hand is on it but you wont hear anything unless you're clean water is sprouting out in your pond or tank. You can easily adjust the sound of your clean water flow. Quality of the unit is fare, though i do wish the motor part wasn't so easily rotatable. However no leakage or airblocks are found as the unit is in perfect order. 5/5 satisfied only with one flaw i stated late above.

Original review : I have 2 all pond solutions external filters 1400 & 1000 lph which are great so far. Wanted a smaller one for another tank so got this one. Within a day of instalation the pump felt hot so I messaged the seller who were great and sent another pump under warranty. I havent managed to fit this yet as its a mission to get the other one off. Maintenance on this filter is a challenge I seem to soak everywhere trying to get the pipes off. Noise level is not too loud but there is a humming noise. The flow is not too bad for the size. The reason for the low rating is ease of maintenance, its not easy at all. Will be changing to another one shortly. Cant fault the customer service/support though. Updated review 17/11/21 I have since changed my mind on this filter after running it for a couple of months. The noise level still not bad and for cleaning I have worked out the outlet pipe needs to be out of the water before starting. Priming is not difficult either. The flow rate is lower as I have a pre filter sponge on the intake. When off its much better. Thought its only fair I update now im happy with it.

This replaces a smaller generic external filter for a 30 litre turtle tank. It’s officially way too powerful for the tank being rated for 250 litres. However turtles are a special kind of filth and need hugely powerful filtration. This delivers that in spades. The fittings were easy to use and secure to the tank. The suction cups were excellent. The supplied filtration sponges are doing their job along with the polish pad. The only thing I don’t like is plastic media for the biological component. These don’t work. Anaerobic or aerobic bacteria don’t grow on them despite surface area. So I’ll replace these with some ceramic tubes and I’ll have a perfect system. Perhaps all point solutions could stop cheaping out on such a small component. I’d pay slightly more for the unit if I knew I didn’t have to buy more things just to use it. It’s there than that. It’s a very good filter. Easy to prime. Easy to access and clean and as I said easily powerful enough.

Great for the price! A little more awkward and louder than a Fluvial external...but sooo much cheaper and it does the job!

It was working fine for a few days until it started rattling horrendously. I requested a new pump under warranty which was sent out to me quickly but that started rattling after a few days aswell. It then occurred to me after checking that the cheaply made pump does not properly fit over the impeller shaft, causing the impeller to be unable to sit snug and not shake against the side causing an incredibly irritating noise. It got much worse though, they use cheap plastic parts for the entire filter meaning that at 1:00am the pump simply snapped off the filter housing causing half of my aquarium to drain out and on to the floor of my room. Do not buy as it may seem like a steal for the price but it’s not worth risking using the incredibly low quality plastic machinery

I purchased this as a natural step for a beginner and a desire to not clean a filter every week. I used the guide and bought what is suggested as suitable for 180l tank. Out of the box I knew straight away it was a cheaper option with a fear at first that the lid clips would not last along with some of the fixings. Installing wise it is easy although I got a little confused with the filter media order. It is just a case of connecting up and dropping the tubes into the tank. Something went wrong for me I will warn as my tank went into a cycle and killed half my fish. The pump can be quiet, it has had that moment although fleeting, it can rattle a little too and not as silent as I had hoped leaving you know it is working with its hum. Suction wise I am a little disappointed, confused or just amateur as even though the water is crystal clear I have a great amount of waste on the bottom of the tank and very little flow with no means of adjusting. I have made all attempts to bleed the pipes to a point that I think it is just the pump being too small for my tank possibly and a guide that is wrong. I even removed the fine thin white media that comes in a hope to increase flow to no joy. Cleaning can be easy, or presumably so and I might be doing it all wrong. Turn off power and inlet then unclip the lid, I always have a bowl underneath to catch the inevitable water spill and the clips. If you wish to clean the media that is it take it all out and go wash it. If you wish to clean the container too then you have to disconnect the pump that can be fiddly and difficult whilst trying to avoid dowsing your floor. I also had a huge build up of material lining the pipes from inlet and outlet after my 1st install so had to strip everything after 6 weeks of ownership. I have had some of the plastic fastening screws to hold the inlet and outlet in place snap, the outlet connector for the spray bar is all a bit askew also leaving part in the water and part out due to the angle it was manufactured at. All in all you get a cheap pump that does its job well enough for the price that it is sold for, it is flimsy in areas as you would expect yet I am content knowing that I have my moneys worth.

Purtroppo non ha fatto una bella impressione dal momento che è arrivato con spina ad attacco americano e completamente unto all'interno, estremamente rumoroso, il rumore prodotto può essere paragonato a quello di un vibratore.. Per il resto funziona.
