I’ve used this plug kit quite afew times now and it works really well. Everything feels heavy duty and solid, not cheap and plastic like some of the other tire plug kits out there. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and makes plugging a tire easy. Definitely worth having in ur truck just incase

I did a lot of research on this topic. I had a old tire that already had a plug in it and the local tire place said they won’t replug a plug. I looked in a different types of plugs spent some time on YouTube and in the end I decided on this type to prolong the life of my tire. I’m gonna lift my van and get bigger tires and different suspension so I don’t wanna waste some money on tires. I didn’t really want this seem like a great solution .It’s been a couple months and so far so good I realize it could leak air slowly maybe it did. The PSI was down a smidge after a couple weeks but I check on it every so often and it’s fine overall. I had a friend of mine who joked to me. He had nothing but bald tires, and plugs and an old truck for years and he felt like the plugs created tread. He joked about it I’m not saying that’s what I’m doing, but , I’m prolonging the need to buy new tires that are undersized until I left my van and put the money into the right tires so I bought a second tire repair kit for our little car we kick around in. If you don’t have anybody to fix your tires and you’re out of luck, this does the trick seems like the same thick versions that I’ve had Roadside Assistance crew's use to get me back up and running once when they didn’t have the correct tire for me. I’d highly recommend it. It’s a nice gift too especially for preppers because they know no tire place will be available in the future. Even saw a guy on YouTube. Use two plugs to fill a hole and it worked. Yep I guess you can do that. It has everything you need minus the soap to test the leak.Lol

I just got this yesterday and had a repair ready for it. When I got the tire off and looked it over with a soapy spray bottle, I realized an old patch was leaking, probably one done by Pep Boys (I wonder how cheap their patches are or if this just happens after a couple years - their tire repairs are free to existing customers and I'd noticed they were claiming to have patched - and maybe they did - but I'd still have leaks). I got this kit because I wanted to take control of that process and not have to take the car into the shop, as I have been noticing that these tire leaks seem to happen every few months and it'd be easier for me to patch myself than to have to take a trip to the shop and hope they patch it right. This kit is much better than most of the kits out there; but it is also much more expensive. I think it will be worth it over the long run. I'd like this to be the last kit I buy for a long time, if I am going to do all my own tire patches. Where it matters most, the two tools to drill out the hole and insert the patch look to be very stout. I like that it has a pair of pliers in there to pull out nails/screws/etc. I wish it fit into the case more neatly, though it'll do just fine. Some of the tools, like the little knife, seem a bit cheap/flimsy; but I suppose they'll do alright as long as I'm gentle with them. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. I wish it were made in the USA and that some of the accessories were more durable but this appears to be the best out there.

I bought this, put velcro on the case, and put it in my car (that I opted not to buy run flats for). I forgot about it until a few tire punctures in my other cars this spring/summer. I just want to say that this kit is great. It has everything you need to plug your tire the right way. I'd bought plugs and kept a small bag with stuff in my cars for emergencies, but honestly, having all the high quality tools you need in one box is great. The only things I'd say to do when you buy this would be to put the tire plugs in a ziploc and maybe stow a pair of nitrile gloves in the kit.

This is my second kit over ten years and these things have paid for themselves time and again (the first kit is still doing fine--just that I used every single plug and figured it'd be nice to have a second kit to keep in the truck). So long as it's a clean puncture through the tread, I've used these in truck tires pulling full loads and off road equipment tires. Given how much steel is in a load rated tire, you can't easily clean and insert them by hand. For those, I clean the hole via a power drill and use a ratchet strap to help push the plug into the tire, but this kit is made well and the steel insert dowel doesn't bend at all.

Good kit. Had it for 10 years. Almost out of plugs. They all held on tractors, trailers, pickups, cars, atv, utv, and so on. You have to be a man in order to get it them in by hand. Or use a adequately sized drill bit on a drill. Handles loosen up and can be annoying, so I started using a drill.

I'm a civil engineer, drive 22,000 miles each year, and visit a lot of construction sites. Bought my first Boulder Tools Tire Kit in 2018. Used it the first time to repair a rear tire on my Porsche Macan Turbo. The repair was still holding, no leaks whatsoever after 22,000 miles when I replaced all 4 tires. Used it to repair 2 tires on my old Lexus GX470 work truck. Again, no leaks after more than 30,000 hard miles - still holding strong when I traded it in for my new Lexus GX460 work truck last year. Have had to repair 2 tires on my new truck in the past 13 months. Over 8,000 hard miles on the first repair. Both repairs still holding strong, no leaks whatsoever. For all you folks who work around construction, you should consider putting one of these in your truck. It's simple and quick. The self-vulcanizing plugs are still sticky and pliable after 7 years, and they don't need rubber cement. They vulcanize in a matter of seconds, so there's no need to wait before you start driving on it. The plug will be ready to go before you are. Just bought a second kit last year to keep in my wife's car. It came with 30 plugs as opposed to 15 with the original kit. Pro Tip: It only took 1 plug each time for the first 4 repairs, but they were all done during warm temperatures. It was 42 degrees when I did that 5th repair this week, and I broke 4 plugs while trying to push them into the puncture hole - pushed them so hard the insertion tool cut them in half and I had to pull them out with pliers. On the 5th plug, I put a little of the included lube on the 1/2 inch of the plug next to both sides of the insertion tool just to get it started, and that did the trick. The part of the plug with the lube ended up inside the tire so the part actually touching the tire self-vulcanized just as fast and tight as the others. One last thing: it will be much easier to insert the plug if the tire has at least 25 psi before you start pushing. To do this, I leave the reaming tool (spiral probe) in the puncture and pump the tire up to 35 psi. Then I quickly remove the reamer and start inserting the plug. The air stops leaking as soon as the plug just touches the hole, so not much air pressure is lost. And there it is. Keep on truckin'.

In het verleden een goedkoop setje gekocht, die na één keer kapot was. Dit is een goed setje met alles wat je nodig bent om de band te repareren. Het is tamelijk zwaar werk, maar met die T-handels heb je meer macht. Hiermee durf ik zonder reserveband op pad te gaan. Een aanbeveling!

First:- You get everything you could ever need ! Does it work: YES - used twice on 255/55 R19 and it hold the pressure. What caused the leaks: First puncher was a bolt thread (yup a bolt somehow got into the tyre?), second was a very suspicious screw that the tyre picked up in Basingstoke station ?! Is the kit easy to use, yes to a point. Removing the offending items does take a little effort but they come out. The screw was easy. Widening the holes to put the repair red thread/cord through is straightforward. Pushing the cord/thread into the hole, well that is an all together different matter. I consider myself to be fairly strong and as I weight 95Kg can put some weight behind pushing the cord in. This was a lot more challenging and took a lot of effort. I found letting the tyre release a good amount of it's internal pressure helped. I did waste two cords as I was not convinced I had done it correctly. Both repairs have held, though speaking to garage they say these are really only used a temporary fixes and would recommend a proper tyre repair solution. ~Good kit ~Would recommend ~ideal for having on a road trip
