A: Yes, the stones are dyed and polished.  Think of the colors as an “artistic” touch the craftsman added.

**Q: Is this a pair of bookends?**
A: Yes - Look Closely and you will see a left and right side.  Also refer to other images on page.  You can clearly see them in the group shot showing the different ones you might receive.

**Q: Where are these made?**
A: All DesertUSA bookend are made in Brazil.

**Q: What is the approximate height of the blue agate small bookends?**
A: Sizes vary of course, but 3.35 - 5 inch tall on average.  Great decorations, but can only support light books.

The ones I got are rather ugly, they are dark with very little interesting details in them. Be cautious when buying but over all they are strudy and the right size for a book shelf.
