My alternative was using a hammer and chisel to get the tile out. I’m sure this was at least 10 times faster than doing that. I would say it was well worth every penny I spent for it. I would recommend that you read the instructions and keep up on the maintenance of this tool. Basically you just have to grease it and grease the bits periodically. I was considering getting a bigger jackhammer to do the job, but this one did just fine and now I have an impact drill to go along with my set of tools. I needed to sink 9/16” holes in 5000 psi concrete for rebar pegs to keep a patch in place in a basement plumbing renovation. It sank those holes 4” like butter.
