Try them at home in the day if you need to calm down or at night if you need to sleep better. Take one in the morning and one at bedtime is best for me when I need a restful day and night.Highly recommended by my Pharmacist. No prescription needed, and you can discontinue using them without any adverse effects. Check with your Pharmacist about interacting with other meds you are taking. The skullcap seems to overnight bring me balance. I find on those nights I use it, I sleep deeper and have more vivid dreams. Not bad dreams, but more vivid. Although I cannot remember them when I awaken. I use as needed and not every day. When I awaken, I feel refreshed, focused, and productive.I was ALSO doing research and saw that it can help bring blood sugar down. My husband is a borderline diabetic and we generally treat it by diet alone. However, recently his sugar has been very high upon awakening. I suggested he take this too. In the first few times taking this, he dropped his sugar from 200 to 140. Thus, I would not recommend taking this if you are also taking medication. He is now taking 2 a day and he has dropped his sugar to 114 on average. Still a ways to go and we are still cutting out grains and sugars, but I am SUPER pleased with this herb. No other side effects have been noticed for him. He does not seem to sleep any different.
