Evaporative Cooler

This fan comes ready to go . The fan itself is not very powerful but in all other aspects it performs as describes. I bought this for my 10 x 10 office when our HVAC unit died and we were waiting for the installation of the new one. We were having triple digit heat in Arizona when this occurred in July 2021. This unit has a temperature gage. My office was 88 degrees mid afternoon with the ceiling fan on full speed. This did drop the temperature 5 degrees after a couple of hours. The two ice packs have a substance that turns to a gel when you add water so I recommend only to the 3/4 mark or less with water.The only other issue is that the pump and hose the feeds the water upwards is attached to the bottom of the bottom of the tank so you can't pull it out all the way for cleaning. I put a gallon of water in the fridge to make sure I have the coldest water. You can add ice cubes instead. It is well made and quiet. I would but it again.

Works great and was easy to assemble. I live in Western PA where it quite humid in the summer so I was worried this wouldn't work very well since the humidity some days is around 70%. But, I got a dehumidifier to help balance out my bedroom since while I have a central cooling air conditioner, my family members prefer a warmer house than I do.I used this calculator to try to balance my room. I keep it at about 50% humidity at all times and keep the fan facing me while I'm working so the air temperature coming out is about 64 degrees (75 room temperature which I think is hot). Some days I have to turn it off because it gets too cold.I read a lot of reviews of people saying this doesn't work (along with most evaporative coolers). You just really have to have a lower humidity for this to work well

I built a 90sq ft office in the garage. All walls are fully insulated. This fan is very quiet which is great while I am having meetings. Great for a cooler day to have some air movement but once the outside temps hit the 90s, this fan is worthless. I've tried putting ice or using the ice packs that come with the machine into the reservoir to try and break the heat. It maintains, at best, 84 degrees in the office. Ice melts way to fast and you have to be right next to the fan to feel the cooling from the water. Not worth the buy. Just spend the extra money and get a portable AC unit if you are looking for serious cooling effect.

Bought this fan in September 2021. Tried to turn it on with the remote control today 6/14/2023. I thought it just needed a new battery. Nothing. If I turn the fan on at the unit it works fine. Called the company and they won't do a thing for me. They can not replace the remote control because they are only the middleman and they are in South America. The company in China won't sell parts, only the whole package. Approx. $150.00 for a fan that I bought specifically for the remote control function for someone with limited mobility and disabilities that worked for only1 year and 8 months.

My bedroom size around [14ft by 16ft] is the hottest room in the house, and very uncomfortable. also I have 2inch blinds and black out curtains to keep out the suns heat. I usually have two fans going at the same time. I tried a few tests with this product and came to this conclusion. It is not a air conditioner by any means. It did not drop the temp in the bedroom at all. I placed it in the door way to blow in the hallway air which runs at least 5 degrees cooler for some reason. I kept the two fans running as well plus added super cold water, the ice pack ( which doesn't stay frozen for long) and ice cubes. After 3 days of trying different methods the product will only keep the room the same as the house as long as I keep adding ice water and ice pack. which is about every 3-4 hours. It does help circulate the air but I don't feel it's worth the price I paid for it. I could have gotten a small A/C window unit for this price and been comfortable.

If you live in a hot area this product alone wont do the job by itself. Works great with my portable ac. And have to buy lots of ice to keep it running smooth because the ice packs melt fast if you fill it 1/3 of the way and fill the rest with ice works wonderful. Overall i love this purchase and am completely happy woth it. Even had to turn it off tonight because it got too chilly. Nice and quiet. Fan blows strong.

It doesn't cool the air as much as I had hoped, but it does make a difference, and the sound and feel of the air are pleasant. It comes with two small bottles to fill with water and freeze, to put in the tank. These little blue bottles have granules in them. Do not dump those out. They dissolve in water and turn into a gel that keeps the ice frozen.
