There is nothing durable and sturdy about these plates. They are paper thin and 5 ready broke after just one use. Wasted money entirely.

I use plastic and other such plates all time as have problems holding normal plates which I have been known to drop. My original plastic plates are over 30 years old and over time have become worn out. Looking through the descriptions etc these seemed to fill my requirements even though they aren’t microwavable.On arrival the plates looked ok just a bit thinner than my old plates but hey modern materials and manufacturing have changed over time. I made toast buttered it and all ok. Few days later decided to have sandwich so used these plates (4th in pack of 20) made it then cut sandwich and the plate broke even though the knife was used lightly due to my hand problems (hence plastic plates). I thought was just a bad one in the pack. In total have used 8, another broke while eating egg on toast, what a waste of good food went in bin because has small shards of plastic sticking in the egg,Then I washed them to send back and then another broke almost in half nipping my hand lucky not cutting me while washing by hand, almost in half as was holding as normally while drying.On looking further, The plates are made in China for the company which is in Brooklyn New York (funny after checking USA Amazon plates are unavailable and reading the reviews makes me think there fake so cannot access all of them. Also, I cannot find any kite marks or other marks saying verified for UK as standards require, nor for ant mark for the USA market.So, I would advise Never Buy from Silver spoon company without finding out if it’s the Brooklyn New York one, then make your decision.
