I Can't Recommend This Phone *CHANGING TO: It Does Everything I Need
I've used Motorola for my last four phones. I ordered this Moto G Play (2021) to replace a Moto G4 Play which gave excellent service. The reason for changing was AT&T *updating* their service. After the update I was unable to make or receive voice calls. Data and messages worked fine, no voice calls. AT&T notified my carrier (Airvoicewireless who uses the AT&T system) that new SIM cards would be required for the upgraded service. Airvoicewireless sent me a new SIM but my phone still refused to connect for voice calls. I finally found information that AT&T was blacklisting older phones so I'd also have to buy a new phone. *sigh*The phone arrived promptly and I configured the new phone with the new SIM and was finally back to having a working phone - sota'. At home where I had '4 bars' of signal I now have ONE. In areas I frequent which had low but usable signal strength on my G4 I now get no signal and a notification of [no carrier] if I attempt to make a call or send a text. The phone is (Renewed) so I'm not sure if this is a problem with just this particular handset and that's why it was returned or with the Moto G Play (2021) sets in general.I haven't returned the phone yet but intend to. I'm still trying to get information if other Moto G Play (2021) handsets have the same problem. If so, I'll go with a different model.EDIT: I downloaded an app for this phone to show signal strength. I also put the app on my previous phone. I carried them together for a while and found the reception to be so similar as to be negligible differences. Sometime new was slightly better than old and sometimes it was reversed. It depended on which channel each phone was pinging at the moment and this changes from minute-to-minute. I found my old phone doesn't recieve with the same number of bars as before. I probably was biased against this phone because of being forced to upgrade. I'm also changing my star rating in light of having used it for a while. For a basic, inexpensive phone it does a great job.

Good battery life
The phone arrived quickly and in great condition. It was easy to insert the SIM card we purchased separately. The color of the phone is attractive and eye-catching, and the battery lasts a long time.

Great Insurance for android users
I purchased this phone to use as a GPS and also as a backup device to my primary phone. Had a warranty incident with my primary phone and was able to whip this out and keep going as I waited for my repair. Its perfect for this purpose, and if lost is nothing more than an expensive pair of sunglasses. This is the perfect device for those android users seeking an 'insurance phone' vs paying for insane insurance and deductibles, if you are the kind of person that may only accidently destroy or lose a phone once every 10 years.

What i like most is the 5k size battery. I watch a lot of media and the battery lasts a while.

Bought this phone from Amazon
I bought this phone from Amazon it started giving me trouble one weeks after I purchased it. I had to keep it because I needed it for work and I had no other phone I had trouble with the phone after first week. Then there was a little piece of tape on the phone never knew what it was there for, well when it fell off it was holding the screen to the back of the phone. I bought this phone in January and June 1st the screen went dark and never came back on. I would never buy a phone from Amazon again. And it's too bad I could have sent it back before March and I didn't because I needed my job. You can see in the pictures where the piece of tape was holding the screen to the phone.

Worth it!
Bought this phone for my teenager. Looks and works like a brand new phone! A couple of hiccups, no fault of the phone or seller, but the seller was very quick to respond and assist as we tried to troubleshoot... and this was on a Friday evening! (Issues were related to the line.) Would definitely recommend purchasing from this seller. Great costumer service and quick response! My kid really loves the phone!

Decently fast, excellent battery life, terrible camera
Like many other people, I was forced to get a newer phone (I hesitate to use the word "upgrade") because AT&T switched from 3G voice to 4G over LTE voice. This left a significant percentage of phones even a couple of years old not working on their voice service. This is my 4th Motorola phone. I had a Moto G(3), a Moto G6 play, a Moto G7 power, and this Moto G 2021.I first want to mention the battery life. I get 2.5-3 days when actively using the phone, and over 5 days with very light use (checking texts and emails). The phone is also decently fast. It's snappy for web browsing, plays videos great, and is plenty fast for light gaming. (I don't play 3D games on my phone. If I want to do that I'll use a computer or console or dedicated handheld.)The screen is also good. It's got enough resolution for the size of the phone, and the color and contrast is fine. The front camera however, is quite bad. It rarely gets the focus or exposure correct. I've tried using it to take pictures of electronics to zoom into small text, and it's often out of focus. I tried using it to scan a document with the CamScanner app, and it got the exposure so wrong that the page was mostly white. For taking snapshots in bright sunlight it might be OK, but that's about the easiest thing you can ask a digital camera to do.So my rating would be 3.5 stars. I considered 3 stars, because the camera is bad enough to knock off 2 stars. But the excellent battery life, bang-for-buck performance, and overall design are worthy of 4 stars. And Amazon doesn't currently allow half stars so I can split the difference.

Great phone at great price
I don't want or need the latest I-phone type features, in fact I prefer simplicity and straightforwardness in how to easily use my phone. I've had Motorola phones twice now and have found them to be superb, easy to use, fully capable of everything I need or want, and at a price that can't be beat. This one is no exception, I'm so happy I got it and reduced my frustration in trying to use a different phone given to me as a gift. Stick with Moto and you'll be happy while still having some extra money in your pocket!

Battery bulge
Decent phones for the price, but both of the phones I got are starting to exhibit bad cases of battery bulge. Probably not safe to use now.

Appareil efficace
Le téléphone à une bonne mémoire et une durée de batterie efficace.Le seul problème ? Vous devrez faire l'achat d'autres fils pour la recharge. Motorola n'accepte plus les fils de recharge plus ancienne.
