This is true "historical fiction". Its both a lot of history and a lot of fiction. Philippa Gregory creates ingenious depictions of the women behind the men during the Wars of the Roses. She gets most of the history correct, and uses a vivid imagination to make these historical figures come to life.

Have only read first two books ( of six) but extremely well researched, historical facts cleverly woven into storyline. Characters were well-developed . Delivery ( to rural area) was very fast too. Very happy with my purchase.
