How well does this case hold up to compressive pressure. How rugged is it?

It very rugged and strong it a great case it can hold alot I test it out myself I drop it downstairs and everything work great with no problems at all it worth the buy one of the best case I got and I have 4 different one

Can this hold two pro controllers?

Yes, although at that point it starts getting a bit tight on space to also hold the power cable. I store Joycons on the grip on the left side, Pro controller in the middle, and Pro controller on the right. Dock and console are in the designated spots, and the HDMI and power cables are just kinda.... in there. Takes a bit of practice to figure out how to get them to fit.

Does this fit inside a regular jansport backpack?

Absolutely. It measures approximately 12" x 9" x 4.75". Should fit nicely to take anywhere.

Has anyone traveled with this on an airplane? How did it fare?

We fly a lot. It works great on a plane. My son uses it as one of his carry on items and can easily access his Switch.
