I buy 2 to 4 pounds of ginger to make Japanese Gari style pickle. Our local groceries either do not carry fresh ginger or they can be too expensive. So I have been buying the ginger roots from Amazon’s one seller. Lately that seller’s ginger roots quality got worse in my opinion so I chose to buy from this seller. I like smallish young ginger roots although they can take forever to peel. These roots came via Priority mail and even with Thanksgiving, they came quickly. They are small but already dried and not as fresh as I’d like. I can buy same quality ginger roots from Peru (the same as this seller’s) from local Krogers and much cheaper ($4 per pound or less). These are organic so I understand they can be more expensive. But the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

So many large, gorgeous roots! I am quite pleased. I can't wait to put some in my juicer this weekend. Today...adding to my soup.

Arrived already beginning to rot. Smelly, damp, soggy. ☹️
