Get Changed: THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER Finding the new you through fashion

I have followed the author on Instagram for quite awhile and found her very inspirational (and hilarious, too). Buying her new book was obvious but feeling rather confident about my dress sense I wasn’t sure I’d implement any of the advise into my life. Well how wrong was I? Not only I have a clearer picture of my own style after reading Kat Farmer’s book but I have also avoided many unnecessary expenses buying stuff that I would never wear. I wish Kat wrote the book earlier so my wardrobe would have been better organised and I would have saved a few quid. Every time I shop these days I think about the advise given by the author and it works works and works on repeat. If you think you don’t need any advise on what to wear and what to buy and your wardrobe is bursting with a mix of styles then you should definitely read “Get Change”. It will change your mindset and make you a happier person/shopper. It did change mine. Thanks Kat!

I first came across Kat Farmer during lock down, her posts on Does My Bum Look 40, from advice on fashion, hair and makeup, with her humour and honesty it helped me through the dark days of lockdown. As soon as the book came out I had to have it, I was not disappointed, when it arrived I could not put it down. Following the instructions of this book, which is cleverly written, I have gone from hoarding an abundance of clothes to having a beautiful and fully wearable wardrobe, which I love and now have the confidence in my fashion choices once again. The book is fun and so encouraging, you feel as if you have a friend spurring you on. Honestly the best money I have spent recently, if like me you are stuck in a rut, lost your confidence it will make a serious difference to your life. Buy it you will not regret it x

Not sure it is ground breaking some good tips but nothing we didn’t already know and it has not made me change my habits

Chatty and informal. Good advice on body shapes and colours. I liked that although there were suggestions she kept away from rules on the most part.For me the best advice is the rule of 3. Will be useful when clearing my wardrobe and for shopping.

Just such a brilliant read.. a massive fan of Kat Farmer I couldn't wait for this book to arrive.. and it hasn't failed to deliver. Well written,you feel like Kat is there with you having a chat over a coffee or glass of wine. I couldn't put it down..written in a style that I feel so many of us can relate to and identify with. Love love love it...if you love fashion,love someone who can laugh at herself,love someone who although has a completely different lifestyle to yours can make you feel included..Read this book it seriously could be a game changer in making you appreciate and feel better about yourself and find your 'style'.

I shop for clothes like it's fast food...it's not great but it is better than nothing. Being short and now all boobs bum and belly just finding something that fits and doesn't look 'too bad'' was an achievement. Growing up I was never into fashion, cause nothing ever fitted, even though I was skinny when young. Using this book has changed my attitude towards clothes and I am now heading to shops with an idea of what I need to be trying on and buying, this could be a game changer for me!Great book 😊

Full disclosure I'm a lifestyle journalist so read lots of books including plenty of fashion ones and Kat's book is one of the best out there. She's got excellent advice FOR EVERYONE and it's really well written. Love the fact that she says you can wear anything at any age - and also LOVE the choose your style section. It's a Style Bible. I really liked the personal intro and anecdotes too. Kat you're brilliant!

Kat’s style of writing is friendly and informative and after following her for several years on Instagram you just know she is speaking from the heart as she uses phrases in the book that she uses in her blogs. I particularly like her phrases of coats aimed at women of a certain age with “fun linings”The book reads as though a friend is chatting with you.Even if you don’t want to find the new you through fashion it’s still a really good read.I would definitely recommend this book 😀
