Perfect to place in bottom of rain barrell
I needed a low flow pump to put in my rain barrell that wouldn't try to empty all the water out in a few minutes and this pump is perfect.

Great for Chilling Wort with an Immersion Chiller
This has been a great addition to my homebrewing equipment. I connect to my HomeBrewStuff 25' Copper Immersion Wort Chiller - Deluxe Package with 2x 12' Hoses, Fittings, and Faucet Adapter , submerge the pump in a cooler full of ice water, and have the chiller water return dump back into the cooler at the opposite end. Invaluable in the Georgia heat when trying to cool wort to 80F or less. The pump itself seems to be quite durable as it has had several knocks and drops by yours truly and it just keeps on chugging along, never missing a beat. It even comes with several different outlet fitting sizes and shapes to fit various needs. Even though the fittings are all plastic, they have held up very well to the aforementioned drops and ice water. If I ever have to order another pump, I may step up to the next size for a little more flow, but with the way this one has performed, I'm not sure I'll need to buy another anytime soon.Could it be better? Of course, but what can't you improve on? Even as close to perfect as I am (sarcasm), my wife would surely make an improvement or two... It could have an on/off switch so I can control operation at the pump instead of having to plug/unplug from the wall/extension cord. And you know, I think that might be the only improvement I would make.Nothing but praise for this thing, especially at the price point.

Does not have a 'hose' fitting for the discharge outlet.
I needed to connect a hose to the discharge but this particular model does not have it. The description does indicate three model numbers that have the hose discharge, but they do not direct you to them nor do they tell you the model number of the one you are currently purchasing. I got around the problem by cutting the male end of an old hose off with an couple of inches of hose left on it and then attaching the cut end over one of the fittings supplied that could then be screwed onto the discharge outlet. Once I screwed it onto the pump I simply connected my female hose fitting to the male end now on the pump. Pump looked good and worked well but I have only used it once for back flushing my tankless hot water heater with vinegar.

Long life
I have used these pumps for years. They last years if you don't run them dry and clean them.

Whisper Quiet, Economical, Reliable
Posted Spring 2014I bought this pump a few weeks ago. Bought an 80 year old house that has 2 ponds (one about 1200 gallons, the other 1900 gallons). This pump I bought to drain each pond so I could muck it. It drained the 1900 gallon pond in a little over 2 days (meaning it was only pumping about 40 GPH). Had to buy a different attachment to hook it up to my garden hose, but it did the job just fine. This summer, I will use the pump to water my vegetable garden directly out of the pond.BEAR IN MIND: Max Gallons Per Hour listed depend on many many variables (vertical feet it has to climb, number of bends, diameter of tubing, etc).Side note, if you have decent to large sized ponds AND you garden, drain your pond, muck it, and put the muck in your garden, it is AMAZING natural fertilizer.Update May 2015 - This product is still going strong and has done a great job for me in the following capacities:1) Moving water from one of my ponds to the other.2) Adding air quality to my ponds for my fish3) Watering my gardens out of my ponds.4) Draining my ponds.Great product!

Ehh
It’s really quiet works good but the flow is. Just so damn weak after a while I mine it does still kick out a steady flow of water but it’s just a little to weak and the little filter thing inside gets clogged up after while if you wanna use this for aquariums and once it clogs the water flow is even weaker I rmr loving it when I first got it that’s why I think the flow maybe hit weaker

good use to supplement an aquarium vacuum gravel cleaner.
I use the product as an aquarium vacuum gravel pump and it works great. I use in as an inline pump, meaning the pump is outside the water, NON-submersed. I have it sitting on a shorter table, because the product was missing the suction cups , 3/4 adapter and garden hose adapter, hence the missing star. Other wise Im able to drain 80 gallons out of my 125 gallon aquarium in a very short time. Way better then a gravity fed suction siphon or the faucet siphon needless to say. I just brought the fittings i used to home deport, and bought the corresponding tubing to my desired length. Aquarium changes are now super easy. It was a very powerful suction, i should note, so be careful to keep the inflow tube away from fish.

Only 1gpm / 60 gph
The output of the unit I received is only about a third of the advertised 185 gph. This is with about 1.5ft of vertical lift distance at the end of a 6 ft 3/8' I.D. vinyl hose. There is a chart printed in the manual and on the outside of the box that provides the specifications of the various models of this pump. The numerical digits of the model numbers do not indicate the gph. The larger the number the more the capacity, but some models are spec'd at less than one might assume the model number indicates and some models are spec'd at more than the model number might imply. For example, this model, the ECO-185, is spec'd at 158 gph (although advertised at 185 gph) while the ECO-264 is spec'd at 290 gph.It is spec'd at a maximun lift of 4.0 ft. At this height there was but a small drizzle of water coming out of the 6ft hose.In any event you should probably buy a model that is spec'd quite a bit higher than your needs. To test this unit I placed it on a ledge in my swimming pool about 1ft under water. Using a 3/8" I.D. vinyl hose I timed the filling of a 1 gallon milk jug at almost exactly one minute (1gpm, 60gph) with the jug sitting on the pool sidewalk. The maximum hose I.D. is 1/2". I was using 3/8" I.D. hose. With 1/2" I.D. hose I'm sure the output would be somewhat higher. I think the specs should state what the output should be with the various size adapters that are provide. Instead the specs only state the maximum that could be obtained under ideal conditions. The pump was VERY quiet; I could not hear the pump at all above the ambient noise (normal outdoor noise level).

Más o menos
Pues no me sirvió para lo que quería que era sifonear mi pecera con en un video pero no logré hacerlo bien, quizás para un acuario para tortugas estaría perfecto
