Fine product.
I give this a 4 star rating becasue the package is so small. It's hard to know online how small a package is going to be but this one is not worth the several weeks effort to get the product. I love Canadian maple syrup and tend to by loyal to it but in this case it was not worth it. It's a fine product though.

Great syrup but ridiculously small
I love this maple syrup, so when it was out st our local grocer I opted to order it from amazon. DON’T do it! It is ridiculously small, not worth the cost. Very disappointed.

Tasty
The maple syrup is very good, but the price for the small size was a bit much. Got larger size in the past for much less!

Good taste, but the price and possibly the packaging need review
I love maple syrup over good vanilla ice cream or pancakes and bacon: a high GI treat for now and then. This syrup is lighter in colour and taste than many syrups, very sweet, runny, and really nice. As another review mentions, the taste [and sweetness] disappears in porridge. On the downside, it is more expensive than the Waitrose equivilent and I would need some persuading to buy it.The packaging makes it clear that this is 100% maple syrup as there are "pancake syrups" sold in the USA that have much less maple syrup. It's also labelled organic - it is from trees after all - so the product would be aimed at a certain market. Therefore I was surprised that the pouch material didn't state its composition and, whether it was recyclable. The packaging refers to international awards : it doesn't mention what they are on the pouch or on the web site.

Perfect Maple Syrup - treat yourself
Please see customer picture 1 above for my picture of waffle and syrup. For breakfast today in celebration of the pouch of Shady Farms Maple Syrup dropping through the letterbox yesterday I mixed up a plain Self Raising batter, switched on the waffle maker and grilled some American streaky bacon (the extra extra thin kind). Two happy kids and the wife and I could easily have eaten more.Maple syrup is an occasional luxury and is expensive when it is good. This syrup tastes exactly like I remember from a holiday in Canada and is a cut above the usual stuff from the supermarket. 125ml is not much but seeing as it must be refrigerated after use this is good for 16 waffles or so.The packaging is easy to open and does not drip.

Good product but pricey
I have no complaints about this maple syrup; it has a very pleasant taste. I must say that I felt the packaging was all rather overblown (International gold medal winner, connoisseur's choice, 'true gift from Mother Nature', etc.), and made the taste of the syrup - while perfectly fine - something of an anti-climax. I have no complaints about the product, but I will not be paying £3.79 (the current price) for another of these small packets. It does taste better than the stuff I normally get at the supermarket but, in my view, the difference is not great enough to justify the price. Perhaps I am just not enough of a connoisseur.

Amber nectar!
This is truly delicious! The taste and smell of maple are strong; I compared this brand with another, well-known brand of maple syrup that I am currently using and would say that Shady Farms syrup has the more intense flavour. The syrup is quite liquid and a beautiful, deep amber colour. The flexible pouch is lightweight and squeezing every last drop of syrup out is easy. Use this over pancakes, porridge, ice cream and fruit. Highly recommended.

Thin, overly sweet
Having tasted supermarket maple syrup, Rowse organic medium grade, I was left wondering what all the fuss was about and why the extremely high price. To me it was basically a very sweet liquid, thin to the point of having an almost watery consistency. So I was pleased to be able to try this Shady Farms and taste the genuine article. Unfortunately it did not taste much, if any, different to the much cheaper supermarket stuff. I tried a blind tasting with the missus and she could not tell much if any difference. So while the taste is not bad I am still left wondering what the attraction is for such an expensive, overly sweet, thin liquid. Give me golden syrup on my ice cream anytime.
