It’s a nifty, but pricey item. Why they charge a almost double the price for pot similar to the regular 6 cup is beyond me. Only the outlet where the coffee comes out is a little different. And there is a huge hole in the top of the lid. I guess these two things are what helps make the crema. The crema is there, although it leaves rather quickly- a lot faster than a regular espresso machine. Also, you only get about 4 cups not 6. If you add any more than the 180ml they suggest for water, it boils over and you lose any crema anyway. Pros: looks nice, it’s a novelty, and you get that minute or so of crema. Cons: Price. Almost double their regular moka pot which is already overpriced. Capacity. ~4 shots of espresso instead of 6.Recommendation: Get yourself a cheaper 6 cup pot on Amazon by reading the ratings. The crema ain’t worth it…and if it is…spend the extra 20 bucks and get a low end, high bar pressure manual espresso machine for your great crema!

Not the best one in the world. I bought this one because I have a much larger version for company. But this small one has a seal that seems to be small or too thin in dimensions. Next time I will only buy made in Italy not China. Amazon needs a search filter where you pick where you want to buy from.

I bought this for my daughter who is going to college, the first day we used it, it leaked while heating up, I checked the gasket, I carefully closed it and it still leaked, this is very dangerous as you can get burned badly. It made a great cup of coffee, but 60% of it went into the cup and the other 40% spilled all over. I'm sure it's a manufacturing issue and I'm sure this is normally a great product, I guess I received one of the bad ones.

My wife was giving me a bad time for investigating Italian coffee makers, but when I made the first cups of coffee with this (after watching several how-to videos), she was ecstatic. "This is the best coffee I've ever had". Now I've got some points I can use in the future! In addition to the flavorful coffee it makes, I like the wooden handle on this model and also that it comes apart very easily for deep cleaning.
