This is one of the most compelling books I've read in some time. I became familiar with this local author when she and her husband stopped on the highway to help a friend of mine with a flat tire. When I heard about that, I got on Amazon and ordered her first book as a way of thanking her for helping my friend. I was so enamored of the book that I immediately ordered all of them and found they were all incredibly interesting and well-written. I have no difficulty seeing, hearing and understanding every character she writes about.When I heard about this book I knew I must get it immediately. Along with her great writing skills, this is a subject I find interesting, and I also wanted to know more about her family and how she was raised to become the person she is.My only disappointment was when I decided to google Dr. Lynch when I finished the book and found out he has since passed away. I can only imagine how sad that must have made Ami feel. This man did so much for her and her family.This book is worth every moment of a person's time and will leave you feeling like you have truly learned something important and come to know people who are so much more than a name on the page.
