## Description

Our Rimrock is a free standing two pole design with shock-corded fiberglass poles. The poles attach to the tent with clips and at the corners with ring and pins for fast and easy set-up. Multi-pass urethane coating is applied on the fly for maximum weather protection. Extra-large No.8 zippers on the door offer extra durability. Two large mesh windows (one in the back and one in the front door) offer excellent venting and visibility. An awning fly at the front and rear permit venting of the windows in any weather. PE Tub style floor. Guy-out Loops on the fly add support in wind and rain. Mesh storage pockets, gear loft, 8'' steel stakes are also included.

Review: Don’t purchase 6 persons - Completely misleading from the picture for the “6” person tent! Picture shows the two room style! Yes I should have drilled down more however I feel this is very much misrepresentation of what your are purchasing. We have NO choice but to use it as we are leaving for our trip in 3 days!
Review: Great family tent - I purchased this tent as replacement for the original Coleman Max 9 by 13, 2 door non instant tent. Positives: I like having a door in the front and one on the back, it makes it easier to go from our shower tent into our main tent without having to display ourselves to the entire campsite. Also, our boys can sneak out that back door for late night "lilly watering." The windows and high ceiling are a most for camping in South Florida 90 degree heat and a zillion percent humidity. It's the rainy season now and in spite of water droplets that clean your entire weeks laundry with just 3 to 4 droplets, we stayed dry. My teenage boys and husband are rather large and messy so the space is much appreciated. Negatives: It's huge and heavy, definitely not for walking and hiking, but if you can drive to your campsite and pull it right our of your car it will be perfect. I can put it up and pack it up by myself, but definitely much easier and faster with a least a second person. The room divider is sewn in, so it can't be removed. Unfortunately only Coleman makes those D-doors that are rigid and can be opened and closed without the zipper, but we adjusted. It only has guide lines from the liner and not the tent itself, which may be a challenged if we hit one of those "no named Florida storms" we'll have to see. Recommendation: Yes, if you have a family or just enjoy a lot of room to stand up and walk around, then definitely this is it. I always seal all of our tents, this one I used before I seamed sealed it. Worked fine. P.S. If you don't have the time to seal a tent or if your old one starts to leak you can always through a tarp over it and bungee cord it. That works too. Hope this helps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, Basic Tent
*by R***F on September 3, 2014*

Good tent for one person car camping/campground use. Would be a little on the heavy side for backpacking. Fiberglass poles make up the support system. The tent is easy to set up and has one door and a window on the opposite side. Mesh is on the top and either end of the tent for more ventilation. The tent fly is cut to create a type of awning over the door and window. It's designed to keep rain out but still allow ventilation however, it doesn't extend out far enough to stop rain from coming in through an opened window or door. A brief rain shower passed through the area when I was camping and I had to zip the door and window closed to keep the rain from coming in, but, the mesh ceiling and sides were unaffected because the fly covered it adequately. There are guy out points on either end of the fly to keep the fly from touching the tent body which helps with the ventilation. The bathtub style PE floor does the job at keeping water out. The ceiling height was very high compared to my dedicated backpacking tents. My backpacking tents generally have a 36" or 41" ceiling height. The height of the Rimrock was 48" making it feel very roomy for a two person tent. I didn't have issues with my feet touching the tent and I'm 6' tall. There is an included gear loft as well. The zippers aren't YKK but they seem to work well enough.
