I read the other reviews and rolled the dice. Mine arrived well packaged and unbroken. They are the cutest bookends ever. Small but mighty.If your book load isn't too heavy, you can turn one (or both) of them on a diagonal line and alter the direction of her legs. Beautiful!

Will be cute in a bookcase
They’re sturdy, not super heavy but will work in a bookcase. They are 4 sided blocks with a figure on top. On two sides the figure extends beyond the block, and two sides the figure does not. The two sides that don’t extend beyond the block allow you to position the figures differently - making it more interesting. I bought them as a gift and I think they’ll like them.

Attractive & sleek
One of the bookends arrived with the gold statue loose/ detached from its black base. Fortunately it looks like I can reattach it with glue.
