The bamboo is light-weight so my arm doesn't feel as if I am scraping my hide with a pick-axe but highly durable. The bristles are set in a wide oval so there is a lot of coverage per scrub. They are medium soft: hard enough to clean my back thoroughly but leaves the skin smooth not tingling or raw.The bristles hold lather well. I use a triple-milled high-quality body bar & appreciate being able to lather the brush up once & having it keep the lather. The brush gets thoroughly rinsed and hung up to dry after each use & under this care, hasn't developed molds or grime.There is a heavy-duty well-tied knot that slips over the shower toggle and the brush hangs flat against the shower when not in use. I am thoroughly satisfied with this product for my uses---my back, about 5'7" tall person, gets to all parts of the back from top, bottom, and sides for thorough coverage.ANY ALERTS? No issues on this product for my needs. I have not tried using the brush to scrub my feet or legs so cannot report based on personal use. It looks OK for those purposes but I sure can attest to its vaue for the back. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Will try again for perfection *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2017* I will start by saying the brush is nicely finished and well made. Unfortunately my review is tempered by the following quibbles. For me the handle is too short to easily reach all areas of my back and shoulders and a little difficult to hang onto when it is wet and soapy.. I also found that while the bristles are thickly arranged on the head and perfectly soft, they are short compared to the oblong head on our old back brush further making it difficult to use effectively. Now I have to temper this with the fact that at 69 years I am not nearly as limber as I used to be so that probably plays into my complaints so you should probably take all this with a grain of salt. Ive had the "new" plastic ones and they all get black mold in the bristles no matter what I do. so I decided to go back to something more natural. I had forgotten how much nicer these types of bristles feel on my skin as compared to the cheapo plastic ones you get in the stores these days. My skin can be kind of sensitive so I really need to get all the soap off...plastic ones do not do it. This one, awesome!I had intended to buy this for use on my feet because I have terrible dry skin. I accidentally purchased 2. so, one for the old bod, and one for the feet.
