Acctim24170 Maine Wall Clock, Cherry

Not at all happy with this clock. Loved the look of it so bought it for my office. Put in a brand new battery. Few days later it began losing time. Took out the battery and put in another new one. Same thing started happening again. Within a few hours it was over 20 minutes slow. Sadly I cannot even return the damn thing because we dumped it’s box the day it arrived here never thinking anything could go wrong with a clock nowadays. For style I gave it 5 stars because I did like the look of it. For accuracy I give it one and if it was possible I’d have given it zero stars. Definitely not a good buy. Lesson learnt on my part, never dump the packaging of anything you buy online until you’re 100% sure it’s of decent quality. This clock was evidently NOT that.

If you are looking for a small wall clock this” Acctim” is the only one that I could find on line (in Oct 2018). For the money it’s nicely made , looks fine & keeps good time. As there seems to be no other small wall clocks available , expensive or otherwise the two & three star wingers are somewhat stuffed. It comes with a convex plastic front lens & does tick lightly but no more than any other battery powered clock, this should not be a problem unless you are very sensitive battery driven clock ticking. One small point , the manufacturers box it comes in has no lid , this means unless the seller packs the clock carefully there is a small risk of the damage.

Third time lucky - in 2 weeks I have purchased 3 clocks and this one worked! Its an easy clock - just insert battery and set time. Construction is quality (unlike many which are truly cheap and nasty things from outside the UK). The tick is not loud and I find it quite soothing, but if you want a clock that is silent this isnt it. I would recommend this clock if you are looking for a good standard timepiece which is reliable and of good quality.

Fitted, on a screw, flush with the wall. Been running for about three months now, with accuracy better than one minute and the original single Duracell Ultra Power AA battery still providing power. Diameter of clock is about 20cm which looks a bit small for a wall clock - would have preferred 25cm, say.

Nice looking and easy to read wall clock. We’ve hung ours in the kitchen. Realistically no one needs a kitchen clock any more, we all have clocks and timers on our phones, but somehow it just finishes a room off.It seems to keep time well and so far not had to worry about changing the battery. Must be over 6 months running now.It’s basic, but does the job it was designed to do, and it won’t break the bank.
