What is the gap between the jaws. I need them for 24 gauge wire - 28 gauge most jaws don't close tight enough to grip this gauge.

I can use these pliers on any gauge wire, including 28 gauge. This is the best pair of pliers I've ever owned. I have all 6 of the Wubbers round bail making pliers, but I use these almost exclusively. They close down tight, I guess I would say there's no gap.

What diameter wraps can you make with these pliers measured in mm? Example 2mm, 3mm etc?

I contacted the distributor, Beadsmith, about this, and here are the measurements they provided on 08/05/20: - 2.26 mm - 3.37 mm - 4.31 mm - 5.21 mm - 7.31 mm - 9.32 mm

What material is on the handles?

On the handle is some kind of rubberized/plastic covering which makes it easy to grip and use. I hope this answers your question.

No kinks, dents or marks on my copper rings with this tool. Highly recommend if you want to make stuff out of copper wire.

Perfect for intended use

Not bought for jewellery but to shape some 1.6mm aluminium for industrial use. Created small loops but after time the pin began to bend and ultimately snapped off. Still OK for the larger loops. Bought a 2nd pair and these have been treated a little gentler and work flawlessly.
