Mechanix Wear: ColdWork M-Pact Insulated Winter Work Gloves

To start off, I work for FedEx Freight on the dock. It's not heated so during the winter the temperature outside is basically what it is inside on the dock. For years I've had a hard time finding a good winter work glove because most insulated gloves are too bulky and lack dexterity. These new gloves by Mechanix Wear not only feature their M-Pact armor but also 3M insulation without losing dexterity. What do I mean by this? It means I can wear these gloves to keep my hands warm, protected but I can still use the controls of my forklift, citadel computers, scale computer and handheld devices without having to take my gloves off. I'm able to still secure freight using straps, rope, blowers and other freight securing equipment without sacrificing dexterity. Past winter gloves I've used I've had a hard time using computers, buttons, even using a pen and separating paperwork without taking my gloves off. That winter we had two years ago where temps reached -40 degrees here in the Midwest (yeah, I was at work when that was going on). Temperatures lately here in the Midwest have been around 20 degrees or less at night and since I've been using these gloves my hands have stayed warm. Will they keep my hands warm during much colder conditions? I will soon find out! Construction is great and material is quality. Fit is a bit off. I normally wear a Large in Mechanix Wear M-Pact gloves but these new ColdWork M-Pact gloves fit more like the leather Driver 360 gloves. So instead of going with a Large like I normally do, I went with a Medium and they fit perfectly. So you may want to go a size down. UPDATE: February 7 2021 Shortly after I started using these gloves I decided to try and use the Mechanix Wear disposable black Nitrile gloves with the ColdWork M-Pact. I wear the Nitriles under the ColdWork gloves and believe it or not, it seems to help keep my hands warmer. Again, I work for FedEx Freight on an unheated dock here in the Midwest. Temps for the past couple of weeks have ranged from 15 to -15 degrees so I've been putting the ColdWork's to the test. Quality and construction of these gloves is holding up well. I have two pairs that I rotate day by day and I wash both Friday nights after work. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I can honestly say that these gloves are worth it! So if you work in extreme cold conditions and need to keep your hands protected and warm I suggest giving these gloves a shot!

Fit great and sized as advertised. Lots of protection to keep your hands from getting banged up doing heavy work. I mostly use these felling trees and processing the logs. They have enough padding where necessary but allow for some finer dexterity with your fingers to accomplish other tasks without fatiguing your hands. They work decently to keep your hands warm enough in low to freezing temps when handling metal. These gloves are pretty rugged and seem to stand up well to hard use.

I recommend these gloves. I work out with weights outside and early in the morning. I live in the Pacific Northwest in the US, so the fall and winter mornings for me can range between 15°F-40°F. In this temperature range, my hands remain comfortable, but I'd argue that at about 20°F and below, the gloves don't provide so much warmth anymore. I don't want that to shy anyone away however, as these gloves are not designed for outdoors manual labor as much as they are probably meant for a semi-indoors garage/workshop. If you're looking for winter-time manual labor gloves, I'd honestly look elsewhere. I don't trust these to keep my hands warm when wet as well. Again, I'm not going to cut down the gloves because of that. If you're working in a dry shop during Winter and want to provide warmth and protection for your hands, or if you are doing light labor in a mildly-cold and dry environment ➡ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're chopping wood outside and you live in upstate Michigan and it's mid-January in the morning on a wet/snowy day ➡ ⭐⭐

Absolutely love these gloves! Great value for the money that I use them for skiing and playing in the snow with my son and shoveling I even wear them walking around because they are so comfortable the inside is like butter! Great protection level and durability and the fit was pretty on point

Keeps my hands warm as a pesticide tech/landscaper in the cooler seasons. Durable gloves and I can move my hands freely while working. I wouldn’t recommend using these if you’re constantly working in 20 degrees and lower though. After awhile of being out in the freezing cold while working, your fingers do start to hurt and feel the cold

Not a ton to say just that they are awesome, the keep your hands very warm. Careful getting them wet as they will start falling part or tear more easily.

I use these gloves for my atv and working in the shop. These gloves are a solid investment for anyone who needs reliable warmth, protection, and dexterity in challenging winter conditions. Whether for construction, maintenance, farming, or everyday outdoor tasks, they’ve become my go-to winter work glove.

Gloves are nice. Fits perfect but durability is not so great. Used for less then a month and already got a hole on index finger.

Lo que más me ha sorprendido de los ColdWork es que, a pesar del aislamiento térmico (se nota mucho el forro interior), no sientes que tienes las manos torpes. He podido manejar herramientas y objetos pequeños sin tener que quitármelos cada dos minutos. El acolchado en el dorso protege bien de los golpes accidentales. La palma es muy resistente. Los uso para [mencionar actividad: cargar peso, manejar herramientas, etc.] y el agarre es firme incluso si hay humedad. Además, el detalle de que sean compatibles con pantallas táctiles funciona de verdad; puedes usar el móvil sin congelarte los dedos.

These are brilliant for airsoft games in cold weather. They're very warm and the thick rubber protects your hands and fingers from BB impacts. They're relatively light, fit very comfortably and feel well made. The material is strong but I wouldn't say waterproof as some of the material is fleece-like. Great value.

Sono rimasta stupefatta dalla perfezione e bellezza di questi guanti! La misura S è giustissima per le mie mani, sono molto confortevoli, robusti ma allo stesso tempo danno molta agilità alle mani nei movimenti.
