The Uncommon Woman: Making an Ordinary Life Extraordinary

I had found this book on Pinterest and then came to Amazon to order it. I was raised in church and had been a Christian my entire life-but I felt like something in my walk and growth with Christ was lacking. This book is extremely challenging-it has opened my eyes to my heart and character in ways that I have never felt before. I will tell you, that this book is not for the "faint in heart" or for those who are happy with just doing the bare minimum with Christ. I am not done with it yet-but I am more than halfway finished and I will likely read it again. It challenges the reader to take an honest and raw look at their walk, their conversations, what they give and take in relationships and ultimately how they treat each and every "woman of God." I have been changed in so many ways, going through various struggles throughout my life-this book has brought healing through a new perspective. Not only have I realized that hurts are just a part of life, but I am challenged to take the higher-more Christlike road but not only forgiving, but loving the person through God's eyes. I highly, highly recommend this book-however, you MUST be willing to change and be honest in order for it to make a difference.

I like the Authors ability to break down life’s events and apply Gods Word to our everyday interactions, with God and others.

I came across this book in our library several years ago and it changed my life so much I bought a copy. I have underlined, read and re-read this book so many times. It is so applicable to every life situation. I have gifted it to friends numerous times. You will come away with a fresh outlook and renewed spirit after reading.

This book is great and I found it at just the right time. I'm going through many changes in my life and God is calling me into a deeper relationship with him. But I can't get closer to him if I'm still indulging in things like gossip, comparison and jealousy. Susie challenges us to rise above the pettiness and above our culture to be women of excellence. I'm still reading it, but I've already taken so many notes and begun to apply some of what I've learned to my life. Get this book and strive to live it out! Be blessed sisters!

This book is for any woman that want to go deeper with God and their relationships. One can’t help but look in the mirror of their hearts and be changed. This boom is the word of God living in the words and examples Susie Larson shares. I’m blessed after reading this book and forever changed.

After hearing Susie Larson speak at Aspire I picked up her book Fully Alive. This study on How to be Uncommon clearly outlines who we are as women and what we are called to do. Highly recommend this for a women's study.

Wonderful book, relevant to everyday living and grounded in scripture. I learnt a lot and was encouraged by her words but more so by the biblical references she used to back up her arguments.
