The author has a link from his website to a guy making up kits of the 35 pieces for 12.00. It took a while to receive but I got it. My almost 5 year old and I have made the vacuum and the preying mantis so far. The 35 piece builds are short enough that he stays interested and I was pleased to see him do the mantis head and body himself while I did the legs. The pieces are tiny ... So an extra set might be smart. I love that the whole book is the same pieces. Makes us think about how they can be used. My only wish is that there was step by steps for each model ... A friend had her own copy of the book, and had made the lego kits to go with the book for her grandchildren. She made a kit for him, but we needed to buy the book. He made every creation, and enjoyed it very much. Now need to buy the next book, We LOVE legos, He took his kit and book when we went on the road and it kept him busy and entertained. We have a ton of them and I thought this would give him ideas to use the pieces he already has. He was mildly interested in this book but hasn't bothered to build any of these things yet. However the 35 pieces that are used in each build are pretty common pieces so I think we could make several of these designs all at once.
