Spanish caper berries, marinated garlic, sweet red peppers and rosemary are added. Greek extra virgin olive oil and grape must complete the marinade. Shelf stable until opened. They were overly salty just to eat out of the bags for my taste, but a quick rinsing in a collander really toned them down. I ate these as a snack, and in my food processor to experiment with tapenade recipes with some different spices. I even had a go at making the famous B.A.Barrakus favorite Coconut Curry Tapenade with Toast Pionts from The A-Team movie and it was pretty darn delicious. Over all 5 out of 5 for flavor, size and firmness of the olives. As warned from the stickers on the bag, I did get more than a handful of olives in both bags that had not been pitted, and the saltiness of them almost lost them a star but the fact that they had real garlic cloves, capers, and marinated pepper rings in them with a delicious seasoning mix held out. They do lose out on value a bit. I was able to get comparable prices at the fresh olive bar at my international grocery store. I got better prices buying bulk locally at farmer and flea markets, and the jarred marinated olives at big box stores like Walmart, Sam's, or BJ's, though not as firm as these were a much better value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Herby *by D***R on December 14, 2023* I have gotten the other Byzantine 5lb olives before, this and that one are a good deal (the other one is country mix and does not have the peppers and capers). I like the Country one better, this antipasto one has a strong herb (oregano I think) flavor, and the capers etc, I'd probably just get the regular country one again next time and add more herbs if I wanted to. But this is a good mix, lasts for a very long time after I repackage in mason jars in the fridge.
