As a video producer, I need equipment that sounds good and will last a long time. This is one of those inexpensive items you can count on to outlast most of the other junk you end up paying good money for. Without going into all kind of elaborate detail comparing a mic that cost $10 to a more expensive model, but I could... Let me tell you what it is: 1. A great sounding mic that has a pretty full range considering its cost, and very comparable to any analog mic ranging from $50-$100 2. Compact and portable even comes with a bag (yes the velvet ones that attract all kinds of things) 3. Plenty of cord length to get through clothing for cover and concealment, 4. Has a very sturdy steel clip, not some plastic crap. Not only that, they give you an extra one! 5. Two extra foam wind/pop covers (3 total) 6. Even comes with a jack converter for TRS->TRRS 7. You're still reading this? Why haven't you purchased one yet? This is a prosumer quality mic all the way, while I probably wouldn't use a budget-style mic for a high-profile production, I would certainly use it for everyday recordings that aren't particularly mission-critical. Though without full-on use in a professional environment, I'd say anything of this quality beats out standard onboard equipment supplied by the manufacturers of laptops and some smartphones. Kudos to ttstar on this one. Great product. Especially for something under $10 bucks!

Package arrived in good condition. Nice pouch. Easy to install. Worked well on iPhone, Android phone and Macbook Pro. Clear recording. Useful to note that this is a unidirectional microphone only and not a bi-directional device. If you want a device that helps you with two-way conversations, please look for another device. Quite a delicate piece of hardware. Handle carefully!

This mic has it all! Came in a nice nylon pouch along with: an angled TRS 3.5mm jack, an extended TRRS 3.5mm long adapter, and it's stock TRRS 3.5 - 5 ft cable, 2 extra foam tips, and a spare metal clip. I was pretty amazed at the sound coming from this mic. It's an omnidirectional mic which means that it picks up your voice in any direction while eliminating unwanted noise. Sound was clear as if HD. Price is right for beginner podcasting or just doing YouTube vids. I used it on Skype on my desktop and the people on the other end asked what I was doing to make the sound so clear and sharp. Works on both android and iphone but for newer models without headphone jacks you will need the lightning to 3.5mm adapter (which was not included). It doesn't mention anything about warranty but so far I'm was very impressed with this mic and hope that it lasts. Thanks

The mic works great I just need a cord that is at least twice as long.

The Microphone works with my Ipad Air, however, what I did not anticipate is it disconnects the speakers and provides no listening device. So if all you want to do is record with no audio feedback from your device then this will work great. The Microphone should not disconnected the speaker or should provide an connector for headphones. Which is does not.

This little lav mic gets 5 stars from me. For 7.99 i must say i am actually impressed. Now i dont really care for the felt pouch... however the mic itself, has incredibly clear audio, is actually all metal and certainly keeps most background noise to a minimum. Now heres why it gets five stars; it shipped and got to me in 24 hours, the audio is cleaner than my last lav mic which cost $50, it is metal, the clip stays put, its light weight, came with trrs to trs cable, cost 8 bucks! And the wind screens are not those chinsey ones that tear apart if you try to remove them. Im in love with this tt-star mic. Will be ordering more. Now please understand, the flat black paint on the mic housing does make it look like plastic however i can assure you all, it is metal. These are the perfect budget film microphones. No, i was not paid to say this or given the product for review. Just a normal person that is thoroughly impressed. Thank you tt-star for having a great product.

The first day I used it it worked no problem. For the pass few days it has not been working. I am using a mic for videos So my two stars comes is when it worked it was great but now it is not functioning.

**** I just got a new Macbook Air, and the microphone is working on the new one. So I have added another star. However, I cannot hear anything from the Mac while the microphone is plugged in. Any tips to fix this would be appreciated. **** The quality seems to be very good, and it came in a velvet bag with extra ear plug foam, which was nice. However, it's not working on my older MacBook Pro when I insert it into the mic input. The Mac doesn't seem to pick up audio from it at all. Does it need some type of adaptor?
