Most ear piercings on cartilage are done with 16g... I'd say 14g a bit too big but honestly nothing bad comes out of it especially if you're planning to stretch your ears starting with 14g is fine. It's all a personal preference go crazy. **Q: What would be best to redo an old piercing in a eyebrow** A: Depends what your after and pain threshold, I've used safety pins as I did back in 81, ha ha, but otherwise these are fine, very sharp I've recently used for cartilage, straight thru, but if your a bit fussy, catheter needle is best as you can simply push through withdraw the needle and simply insert piece you want, only issue!
