Digi-Code 5010 Garage Door Opener Transmitter

Needed a new remote for the garage all I had to do was set the 10 digit pin and bam it was perfect I did also buy the 5012 remote it sadly did not work I guess they are too different sadly I liked the different color

My gate service company charges $79 for the same remote! I match the 10 pin setting and it's good to go. The only drawback , to this remote (and my gate company remote) is can't drop them more than 4 times. LOL

- If you have a community that uses these transmitters, then this is a great deal. Most communities want you to buy from them at $50.00- Next to the battery it has the 10 switch settings that are easy to change.- If you have a gate opener at your community and you have used this one the Digi-Code 5012 will not work because you cannot change the setting on the gate itself. I thought they were interchangable like advertised, so I had to buy the Digi Code 5010 to replace my old one.- These Digi-Code 5010 and 5012 should be interchangable if you have a garage door you will be using this on as long as you can change the setting on the garage door motor.- Rememeber the 5010 and 5012 work on two different Hrtz. 5010 is 300hrtz and the 5012 is 310hrtz.

Works great on the gates in the neighborhood just if it could have a further range so you don’t have to be up on the gate for it to open

3 stars because the item delivered wasn’t new. Ad says order does not include battery, but the remote I received already had one installed. Furthermore, the code switches were obviously not in factory release positions strongly suggesting that someone had probably purchased this remote previously and returned it when they were unable to make it operate their garage door opener. Will test this unit on my own rather then initiating a knee-jerk return and revisit this review accordingly afterwards. Until then, buyer beware.

This transmitter was super easy to set. It's not too big or too small but it only has one button so if you want it to open more than one location, such as your community gages AND your garage, you're out of luck. If I had to do it over again, I would purchase a remote with more features.
