The Voyageur's Paddle Paperback – January 1, 2007

I liked the simple accuracy of the traders journey across the Great Lakes. The tale was simple and accurate. The illustration were very detailed and colors thoughtful I would recommend this book for young children to learn about the tree role of fur traders.

Love how this book helps me teach my class about the Voyageur's and the fur trade in our area.

We really enjoy Kathy's books, I read them to my elderly parents after dinner.

Nicely illustrated. Somewhat contrived story about a boy whose father is a voyageur. Portrays a bit of the life and adventures of the voyageurs, but includes only a little historical information about them as a preface.

This is a wonderful book for supporting our Michigan history curriculum.

We purchased this book and met the illustrator, David Geister, at a signing in DePere, WI. He is a wonderfully animated man, and brought the book to life before our eyes. The story is well written, richly illustrated, and has become a "regular" with our seven year old son. This book is an excellent way to bring history and lore to your family.

This is a beautiful book and another great story in the series. My kids love all of these books and Mr. Dave Geister's artwork really resonates with children's interest. They study the artwork and notice the details of all the images. I highly recommend this book if you value history and a quality story for all ages. It is very developmentally geared for preschoolers and young children. Very recommended as a parent. A+
