The kit includes the two bases and the screws needed: you provide the lumber in the form of 2x4's and 2x6's.The instructions are pretty clear: you just decide that length you want and cut the lumber to length as required. ]1) if you don't have an electric saw of some kind you're going to have a lot more elbow grease (I think I had to make 9 cuts total.2) The instructions didn't cover a face cord size (8' long x 4' high x 16" deep) so I just faked it and went with the full ~8' lengths for he bottom and 4' uprights (dimensions are approximate - you actually have to cut off a little bit but let's stick to round numbers). Apparently these can be stacked/or chained in shorter sections if you have more firewood, but ain't nobody (especially me) got time fo that.Lumber cut, I set about securing everything together using the included screws - the bases hold everything together and have holes for the screws (and as mentioned earlier, can be stacked etc)Now: I'll grant that I went with non-documented dimensions (although a face cord is pretty common) so this might have impacted how things turned out. And I will reiterate: a face cord is a standard unit to purchase firewood so this thing should work with that out of he box, or at least be clear you need to buy 2 of them.1) thinking ahead I used a couple of offcuts as a support brace In the middle of the 8' 'floor' since the weight of the firewood would probably cause bowing. And that worked out well.2) Levelling this was a bit of a pain. The isn't the fault of the kit and there are a bunch of ways to accomplish this from using the 'legs' themselves etc. I just used some shims under the feet and that worked well (do this before loading it up.3) I ended up adding some corner braces to tie the uprights into the base for (hopefully) more strength.I stacked my wood and it fit the facecord no problem. It's pretty sturdy *but* the vertical bits definitely splayed out from the load weight - even with the additional corner braces. Certainly not in any danger of snapping but deflected by a good 4" or so at the top. I think once it's emptied out I'll tie the two side posts together and also run some diagonals across the back to hold it together.So it works and saved some time in construction, but I wish it was a bit sturdier and fit a standard face cord out of the box. Also, with lumber prices sky hight (writing this in October 2020) don't forget to factor that into the cost. ### ⭐ Not a Rack Whatsoever *by D***U on Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on 7 October 2020* I bought what I thought was a simple rack, and all I got were two tacky plastic pieces, and a piece of paper telling me I need 7 2 x 4 pieces of wood, a round saw, etc. Ridiculous. This is not a wood holder. It's just two tacky plastic pieces. Strongly recommend against it even if you wish to get the wood and do this, simply because it's not even esthetically pleasing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Watch for the price *by M***. on Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on 24 May 2022* Get them when the price is low. You will need the 2x4s, so the rack is not exactly cheap with the current prices of lumber.
