How long is the draw hose? The Picture says 1 meter, but the specs say 1/2 meter. Which is it?

Measured 38 inches, about 1 3/8” short of a meter.

Will this work for soda blasting?

Yup, I've used it several times for that.

Would I be able to do small jobs with this using a pancake style compressor?

Possibly---- IF the part you are cleaning is small. Like it could fit in your hand. These guns require a lot of CFM and the typical pancake compressor provides 2.5 CFM and the tank is usually a 6 gallon tank. So short blasts may work. For example, I use this same gun with my 12 CFM compressor with a 60 gallon tank and the compressor runs constantly trying to keep up with the gun output. So use with your pancake compressor will be VERY marginal but may work with very small parts using short bursts.

Can I use walnut shells with this gun?

Yes you can just make sure your air compressor can keep up with it. I bought it to wallnut blast my intake valves on my car. I tested it with the mcgraw 20 gallon air compressor from Harbor Freight.

First time sandblasting, I used this sand blaster to remove very thick rust on a kenworth bumper with some abrasive blasting media. Worked phenomenally!
