You bet! Put some copper tape over the hinges on the inside to cover the holes, place your "smart" phone inside and it won't be able to talk to the cell tower. The phone will still pick up and retain all voice conversations so watch out for that.

Would this box hold up to an open flame or would it melt if filled with candle oil?

Medium thick metal I think it would hold up in a brief fire but not an hour of fire of melting metal. To hold wax for a candle, I think it would be fine but it would heat as any metal would.

This works great to put my handmade watercolors into. The hinges are a little weak so you have to be careful. But other than that this is a great product. I'll be buying more. Note: I bought more!

Nice multi use tins

These are nice tins, and they came in perfect shape. I am using them for watercolor 1/2 and large pans. I used double-sided tape and a magnetic sheet cut to the right size and they stay put very well in this tin. I would definitely buy this again.

Great for plein air mini paintings

Perfect for painting 4x6 panels! Saw the idea online using mint tins but these tins allow you paint on a little bigger panel. Just put magnetic tape on the back of the panel and you’re ready.
