Does the wax and lube both have an advance screw at the bottom. I bought one product that was just a tube of material with no way to get it out

It is like a chap stick tube and the lube is a little bottle that has a membrane on the end to let it out. Both works great.

Is the brand of lube any good? I am new crossbow hunter. How should I apply it to my crossbow?

I like it. You have apply it to the rail on you crossbow. You should do this every 10 times you shoot your crossbow. The rail is the flat surface where the bow string make contact. Ir helps to reduce the wear on the bow string..Good luck
