I bought 26 beans and 1# of beans to see which is a better value and by the pound is better. We make our own vanilla and this worked perfectly.There is only a bit more vanilla bean curd in the 26 beans over the beans in the 1# container. If you are making vanilla, just get the 1# bag.

Bought for vanilla extract. Arrived immediately measured and added to vodka in March. Stored properlyc but the first check I just made smells terrible, indicating mold or something wrong. I’ve compared the bottle to the remaining beans I’ve stored sealed and they also smell musty and off.

I am using these for making vanilla extract in big quantities with a case of Siesta Keys Rum. Oh my goodness, a month in and you can't see through the clear silver rum we purchased for making it. This was the first time I hav purchased beans to make extract. Waited till I tried the extract. It is now 10 months and there is only a faint smell of vanilla. The beans were dried out with only a faint smell of vanilla when I received them. I have since bought beans from another company and after 6 months there is a tremendous difference in the color and aroma of the extract. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!
