Once you get the hang of this, you will use it everywhere. Very similar to a small umbrella. I placed mine in the door pocket. It makes a huge difference when cooling off my car in this Texas heat. The only thing that is negative is that the material is held on to the ribs by a flimsy pocket for the rib to fit into. They frequently fall out of the connection and you will have to reattach. ***update*** While I enjoyed this and it worked great, I just replaced this with one that has springs at the tips. This one got holes in it because the material is thin and the ends just tore the material. It lasted two years for me as I put up with the holes for over half the time I owned it. This is a great one if you are tight on money and just starting to use this type of sun shade.

Bought this in hope that it would cover either my Pilot or my wife's Cr-v. My wife likes it. Pros: It fits Cr-v. Easy to use. For some people it might take some practices but at the end it as easy as using an umbrella. Remember, be gentle. It is covered well at the tip of the frame. This prevent making scratches on my dashboard. When folded down it is really compact, light, just like an umbrella. When opened, it reaches to cover whole winshield. Forget about suction cup, you don't need that any more. Cons: The small size is a bit smaller than my Pilot windshield. About 2 to 4 inches smaller. Pick the larger size for the pilot. However, it fits perfectly to the width of Cr-v windshield. The last photo shows how the handle rest. If you are not careful enough the handle can touch the Pilot touch sreen or the buttons below touch screen on Cr-v. It might scratches your sreen or pushes unwanted button. I wish that the handle can be resized after use. Luckily, the handle is covered by a thin layer of silicon, it will not make deep scratches on touch screen. Be gentle anyway. The shield cannot lay under the mirror if you don't force it. You can just let it loose though. 4 stars because they need improvement at the handle so that it will not touch certain area. They also need to fix the mirror area so that it would fit better to the windshield.

Both my husband and I love this umbrella!! Finally! someone came up with a windshield cover that is simple to use and does the job great!! No more fussing with the accordion style one that flops and falls all over the place! This pops open, set it in place, put my visors down for a little added support and off I go!! The car is much cooler when I return to it and he helps protect my dashboard from the harsh sunlight and heat. My steering wheel isn’t burning hot anymore!! So simply to take down snd stores compact like an umbrella! I thought it was going to be a project to put up and take down all the time, but it’s not at all! I really like it!! Everyone is getting one for Christmas this year!! 👍🏻

Item silver coating peeled and stained interior of my car in addition to the the umbrella structure scratching my interior. I now would only recommend just the cheap folding sunblocker than this item.

Works ok. Doesn't completely cover corners of 2022 Santa Fe. Definitely helps keep vehicle cool. Had it since Aug 2021, so far so good. I have absolutely no trouble putting it up or taking it down... about 15 seconds to dig it out, put it up or visa versa.

I bought this for my wife. She was using a foldout silver sun shade. Bulky and not real easy to install. I watched her in action: Wow. It went up easy and covered the windshield. When we got back in the car (in100 plus degrees), it was not as hot as it usually was. Actually didn't feel too bad at all. She took it down with ease as well. It folds easy and is very small in size. I'm totally happy that I bought it. The price was good too! Good bye to an unbearable interior and it's a great dash saver too.

I drive a Toyota Corolla, and I was hoping this umbrella would fit inside my windshield. Unfortunately, it did not fit; it was a bit too big, length wise. Also, sometimes the pegs of the ends of the umbrella would get stuck into the base, making it a small inconvenience trying to expand the umbrella. Lastly, my umbrella arrived with it’s base ring cracked. I’m still using the umbrella shade because I like the convenience. I resolved the stuck pegs by removing the entire base, and the shade would go into my car door when I expand it.
