These were fun! I wasn't sure how much batter to put in them so I tried three different levels and learned that if you fill only to the top of the first tear (roughly half way) then your heart cakes will turn out beautiful. I have not used papers or liners yet just non stick spray ( I know, not healthy ) one box of cake mix makes roughly 12 hearts but that ultimately depends on the consistency of the batter its self.

Thought I was ordering tiered cupcake pan, but was a cakelette pan instead. The receiver was very happy, though and thought it would be a great addition to her bakeware collection.

We used these for a bridal shower, they are super cute. Only downsides are that they are bigger than I thought, also short and fat. The tiers are not well pronounced once iced.

Cakes come out fairly large, generally too much for a single serving, and the tiers are very shallow, which makes them hard to decorate unless you have fondant (which I do not). Cakes looked nice, but took a LOT of time due to the shape. Good quality pan, easy to clean.

So I should have listened to the other reviews that people wrote. It was a waste of money. I had gotten the pan for making mini wedding cakes for my bridal shower. I couldn't wait for it to come and when it did, it was a huge disappointment. The "layers/tiers" for the cakes are more like little bumps. You cant even tell its supposed to have layers! It looks like a deformed cupcake. Although the pan isn't all its cracked up to be, the material its made of is quite good. Hopefully this review helped!

I like the bakeware but they are quite large for a single serve. The pan is very good quality.

The Cake Boss Novelty Nonstick Bakeware 6-Cup Heart Cakelette Pan is the first pan I have used which is actually non-stick. Once the cake cools, just flip the pan over and the cakelettes slide out. Spraying and greasing the pan is not NECESSARY. Wonderful product.
