This unit replaced an older, much larger unit in our motorhome perfectly. Problem solved!

Plug and play, gotta love technology. The only thing I will say is I have cat5e cable and 1080 signals come thru fine, when switched to 4k input, I get white blocks all over the screen. And sometimes I do get white dots flickering on the screen even in 1080p but only on my newer Sony 75” tv for some reason, it’s only noticeable in dark images, and I attribute that to the wiring not being cat6 or higher, I plan to change the wall outlets the receiver is plugged into, as sometimes I replug the cords into the outlet and the dots go away, but again only my 75”, other TVs 55 and below no issue at all. IR sensor placement is crucial, inches make a difference. Am able to feed Comcast box and security nvr to all my TVs now. Programmed all remotes of different inputs devices into logitech hub based remotes at each receiver station with the Matrix transmitter ir taped to the ir repeater of the logitech Harmony remote. Works perfectly.

Lasted 2.5 years and then died. over the 2.5 years, the unit ran really hot and the fans were loud. I use it to broadcast 2 DVR's, 1 Apple TV device, 1 BlueRay DVD player to all four tv's in the house. Now, I'm streaming direct to each TV separately from the TV's themselves. Looking for replacement for the unit only; the receivers appear to be functional.

This is great and works beautifully the biggest issue is remembering button in to HDMI out light configuration when you change things. Other than that they work beautifully.

Blurry text when using 4k@60Hz profiles. Dropping to 4k@30Hz resolves text issues and looks quite good, but has the laggy feeling that 30Hz brings. Working with support to figure this out. Update: Support was responsive and helped me through getting 4k@60hz working. s cat 0 dsc mode 2! s edid in 0 from 28! Ended up having to use 2x hdmi ports from an RTX 3080 + 1x hdmi port from onboard graphics. The hdmi->dp dongles were causing problems.

It didn't work with directv on non high definition, no sound and poor picture. The signal that comes out of a dome antenna.

I'm very impressed with how well this product syncs the audio between TVs. If you've ever had multiple TVs showing the same thing in the same large room, you would understand what can happen where the audio is slightly out of sync and highly annoying. This thing manages to sync the ethernet -based HDMI with the physical HDMI ports that are also on the back. I have three TVs, all the same model, running off this matrix and as you walk from room to room there is zero delay overlap in audio. The features of this box are really good, although I haven't needed to delve into them yet. There's a serial console as well as a ethernet management port, but I haven't explored those. It does require cat 6 or 7 cables. You can't get away with using your old cat5 as I learned. The power over ethernet abilities of it are great as well. Very much simplifies the deployment at the remote TVs. The fan is a little noisy in the unit but it is so good. I don't care. I'm a little worried with it sucking up dust but I will deal with it as that time comes. I'm extremely happy with this matrix. I've also had this matrix running for many weeks now and it is never required a reset due to any kind of lockup or anything stupid. It just works.

We ordered the OREI 4X4 Extender Matrix to replace a projector system in our church. The Extender is very easy to install and operate. We initially experienced problems getting a signal over 65 feet from the extender to our new LED monitors, and our configuration required a minimum of 135 feet. We had hoped to use the existing CAT-7 Ethernet shielded cabling we had in place for the projectors. It was shielded but was the FLAT white style. The OREI technical support team suggested that we use ROUND shielded CAT-6 cable. We purchased 150 ft. of the round cable to test the recommendation, and it worked great. We have now replaced all our existing cabling with the round shielded cable and the video system completely meets our expectations. Based on our experience, I highly recommend that all users of the OREI UHD48-EX320-K Extender Matrix use only ROUND shielded Ethernet cable.
