Monsters Inc meets reverse harem fun
This has some loose similarities to Monsters Inc in that in this version of reality, monsters exist and feed on fear and there is an institute that facilitates a healthier way to do that while simultaneously controlling the more nefarious monsters that lack control. The premise is simple. One pink haired girl has a team of monsters surrounding her that are drawn to her and vice versa. But her humanity and tiny stature make them terrified of acting on their passion out of fear she could get hurt or killed. And we kinda follow along as they navigate the challenges that come with that. This book ends on a cliffhanger. It's a slow burn, although it doesn't feel that way because the lust and love are addressed in the very first pages, and the chemistry is strong.I loved the different types of monsters. From God's, to the son of Satan, to legit monsters under the bed, they were creative and interesting. My only complaint is that at times, I struggled to keep track of everyone as this harem has SIX men in it, and my short-term memory isn't great. At the end of the book, I was struggling to remember who and what Zain was.I will definitely read the next book to see how things go.

Love love love these nightmares.
She did it again. This was such a good read, I love how she goes into detail about the characters, not only what they look like but what they feel like. Itās like being right there along with them. Canāt wait to start book 2

Good
WARNING! Cliffhanger! This one is fairly low on the trauma scale, 3/5, but definitely leaves us hanging in the middle of an event.Arabella was raised in the Institute that houses Nightmares, the beings behind the legends that go bump in the night. As the coordinator for an āAā level team, she deals with the monsters that incite terror and feed off fear, but Arabella herself has never feared those creatures.Instead, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to themā¦This is a darkly amusing monster RH romance, with beings that are far from benevolent and the human who loves them. There are seven monstrous heroes surrounding our petite and fearless heroine, all of them are fighting against a hate group determined to deny the monsters their right to live.Itās an enjoyable tale, with an intriguing background story, and a why choose romance to bring it all together.Itās a fairly quick read, one that monster RH romance lovers will like, as well as those who enjoy their romances listing a little to the dark side.

One of the best books I have ever read!
This is one of the best books I have ever read!!Soothing Nightmares was one of the most original and unique stories I have ever had the absolute pleasure of reading. I mean, what it must be like to be in brilliant mind of M. Sinclair...wowza! Just an absolute masterpiece!I was so completely captivated and consumed from the very beginning. To see a story come to life that introduces what itās like if the āmonsters under the bedā were real. To have a war brewing under the surface as bigoted humans realize that these Nightmares are very real and have been around since the beginning of time.Arabella is an incredible lead female character! I loved that she was confident and unafraid, that she accepted the Nightmares for who they were. She didn't try to change them or sham them for being completely who they are. And her connection with her team was so beautiful, intense and lust-filled. They were all so intricately bonded on a deep level. Her Nightmares were all so unique. The stories behind the various types of Nightmares was so interesting! M. Sinclair did a wonderful job describing them each in detail that was so descriptive it was like I could picture them right in front of me.I fell hard for Arabella's Nightmares! They intrigued me so much that it was impossible to stop reading! I genuinely cannot wait for more of this series. I have never read anything like this before and I am craving more of this story like my next breath!

Delicious, dangerous, monstery goodness
I need a harem of nightmares/monsters, stat. ššIn all seriousness, I freakin loved this book. This is 100% what I was hoping it would be and I am crossing my fingers and toes that there will be more delicious, dangerous, monstery goodness in my near future.Arabellaās harem is a bit larger than the harems Iām used to, NO judgment here, but it does get hard to keep the guys straight sometimes - especially when some of them take a backseat in the first novel. Itās even harder to keep the type/monster form aligned; theyāre unique but also all growly overprotective, mega dangerous, violent nightmares and sometimes itās like āwait⦠what is his form again? Whatās his power?ā But this is a *minor* complaint because I found myself ironically not caring most of the time; all I cared about was they were 110% devoted and aggressively protected her and Damn if I donāt want that for myself lol.The Nightmare classing and hierarchy structure is fascinating, and Iām glad that they explain stuff either during their internal dialogue or introducing/explaining it to the new team member. ISS is cool as hell offering safety and refuge as well as jobs and community; MAM is the predictably biased, narrow-minded hate-filled human organization treated as their counterpart. We donāt get a ton of background but we know they torture children and kill innocent nightmares so itās safe to say theyāre the actual villains and I freakin love when the dangerous killing machines are the underdogs that need help.Iām running out of steam because I finished this late so the TLDR is I really loved this and I canāt wait to start the second one after Iāve gotten some sleep š

Love it!
One of my absolute favorites of this author!! This series is sooo good! The story not too short not too long and complicated! The characters are lovingly developed! Sometimes it's a little hard to ceep track but it helped a lot that she was explaining them again in every book! 8 really love it!!

Nightmares!? Yes, Please!!!
I have to say, I don't usually leave reviews for books I'm not reading as part of an ARC group, but this one, I have made an exception for because it was beyond fantastic! As a devourer of books from just about any genre, I wasn't sure this would be an original enough idea...but boy was I wrong! Really loved how sweet this book was; it was definitely a fluffy romance with hard edges thrown in for good measure. If these types of "mate bond" romances bother you, than this book likely isn't for you, but personally, I am a serious fan of the more primal nature of these relationships and I absolutely am here for it!! Just a little bummed that I have to wait so long for book 2.

This is my first book of M. Sinclair but Iāll be sure to pick up another when Iām done with this series.

A NEW FAVORITE!
Oay, so this book was amazing. AMAZING, I tell you! I loved every single word, every single line of it.Arabella became one of my favorite female characters. She's so sweet, but she's also a real badass. And she has seven men wrapped around her finger. The men, the nightmares, the monsters under our beds.Razar, Saint, Zain, Cy, Blackwell, Damian and Amun are obsessed with Arabella, so possessive and protective of her. My favorite was constantly changing but that scene with Saint towards the end... I will never get over it. I will never forget it.I loved the idea of nightmares being at war with the humans, of I.S.S. being a safe place for those 'monsters'. I was also eager to read the men's POV, as well as the flashbacks. We also get to know what Arabella really is at the end of the book. Now with that ending, I'm dying to read book #2!
