NJ Croce Gumby & BLOCKHEADS Boxed Set with DVD

My kids are sixteen and twenty-three, and I purchased this Gumby and Pokey & Blockheads boxed set first for my son at Christmas, then he asked to buy one for his older sister's birthday. Perfect for the kid in all of us!I grew up watching Gumby back in the '60s and was a bit surprised when my daughter came home from a friend's with a Gumby videotape (she was about six then). Later, my son discovered the video when rummaging around in some boxes and it became one of his favorites. Then he found Gumby clips online and started asking for a DVD. I checked Amazon.com and was happy to see that Gumby is still alive and well.Art Clokey (creator of Gumby) passed in January, and I just want to say that the man was a creative genius! His work has brought a lot of joy to generations of kids, and some of us adults still watch.When I was a kid, I had Gumby and Pokey play figures, and the ones in this boxed set bring back so many memories. In our house, Gumby, Pokey, and the Blockheads turn up all over the place. They're quality toys, and when you bend them they stay in place. They're not flimsy, and when you stand them up they don't fall over. The pliable rubber is brightly colored, sure to become favorites for the little kiddos, and it looks to me like these will last and last.I appreciate that these are still being marketed, and hope they'll continue to make a lot of kids happy all over the world. (And bring back fun retro memories for the older fans!)

My grandaughter is 5 years old and totally adores gumby and pokey. She now has the movie and all the DVD's which she watches over and over again. This set is a great addition to her collection which she plays with all the time. I highly recommend this quality set for any child.
