It can produce an elevated lumen output (1000+ Lm) for a sustained amount of time.The torch has three levels of output, which are cycled via the top pushbutton switch. The lower pushbutton controls the bottom COB Led, with two different level of intensity of white light, and two dim red light (steady red, flashing red). The light emitted by the COB LED is useful for illuminating the pathway, while the projector illuminate clearly in the distance, many hundreds metres.This torch has an excellent thermal management, as the main LED is mounted on a large passive heatsink, and the brightness is throttled down if the ambient temperature raises excessively, preventing damages to the LED, the driver circuit, and the battery. The power is provided by a protected Li-Ion battery pack of unusual large size, 3.7 Volt and 20+ Ah, ensuring a corresponding long autonomy of use. The battery charging circuit utilise the Quick Charge specifications in full, so it is possible to charge the large internal battery pack in few hours, if you utilise a 30 Watt QC 3.0 or a PD USB-C charger.This UniLite L-1800 electric torch is an outlier among most of the other types listed here, and it is completely worth the price paid for it.
