Kenmore 4-Burner BBQ Gas Grill with Searing Side Burner, Propane Grill, 52,000 BTUs, Warming Rack, Electronic Ignition & Cast Iron Cooking Grates, Black/Stainless Steel

This is our 2nd Kenmore gas grill. Prior one lasted 10 years in the elements. This one we have a cover on this round. It lights easy with the electric igniter if the cover is down. We light with a long lighter stick. No issues. Gets hot fast. I would purchase another in a decade if they still sell Kenmores.

The grill works great. The searing grill works fantastic. I paid for the installation, but. The installation was a little bit to be desired. They didn’t install my jets or hook up my igniter for me. I had to do it myself. I’m 79 years old and it wasn’t easy thank you.

I caught this grill on sale for $279 pre Black Friday. Very nice 4 burner grill with searing burner for 40% of a Weber. Well made and designed powdercoated grill. Assembly instructions were good with pictures and words for each step. Holes for screws matched perfectly with pre installed threaded inserts or cut threads. Well packaged. They did "hide" the frame support rods inside the burner assembly which took 30 min to find. The propane line to the burner has a shielded steel flexible conduit that is too long and made it difficult to align the control knob assembly to screw onto frame. I did get it aligned but this was the last and mist difficult part of assembly. Grill has even heat, gets to 450 in a few min, searing burner works great. I do find that it takes 10 to 20 sec for propane to flow to burners for ignition. The Kenmore brand was bought by a company in business for 20 years and parts are available at the old Seats parts store. Time will tell how well the powerboat holds up as well as the porcelain grill racks. Very very happy so far. I did over char my first salmon filets due to the higher even heat - my fault. Great steaks and the 1 inch thick pork chops cooked perfectly. I did feel sorry for my mail carrier dealing with the 88lb box.

Already dented right out of the box. After two hours to assemble, the igniter wouldn't create enough spark to make fire, and no amount of troubleshooting or adjustments would work. But somehow worse than that was the overall quality of the grill. I have a very old $300 CharBroil grill which I was replacing with this one, and there is no comparison between the thickness of the parts and overall durability. I don't understand why this grill has such a high price point. It is very flimsy and the black paint scuffs easily. I also didn't like that there were no comfortable handles for when you need to move the grill on wheels, just sharp metal edges. The doors were also crooked, and the grill plates rest in such a way that they're hard to take out for cleaning. Sent it back.

I was scared that because this grill is pretty but it has been incredible, no issues, easy to clean and easy to use. Mine has been rained on and has not encountered any rust. I am currently a family of 2 but host very often and surprisingly for a smaller grill handled by a 105lb female it actually has a large cooking capacity you can easily grill 50 brats and some veggies on the top grill.

The grill arrived early and in excellent packaged condition. This is the sixth same model Kenmore I have purchased for myself and our children during the past 30 years. My first two seemed to last forever. Just a little bit of care including cover to protect from the elements and you will be happy.

For the price the product is of inferior quality. It doesn’t look like it will last two seasons.
