Free Fall: A High School Bully Romance (Spring Hill Blues) Review: Great read - Prepare yourself for an emotional rollercoaster with Free Fall. This book took me completely by surprise—not in the way I expected, but in the best way possible. What I thought would be a typical RH (Reverse Harem) bully romance quickly revealed itself to be so much more—and infinitely more heart-wrenching. At its core, Free Fall is a raw and beautifully emotional exploration of grief, love, and healing. Briar is struggling with the overwhelming loss of her brother Brady, and her spiral into darkness is both painful and real. Enter Brady's best friends—Cade, Reid, and Lex—three alpha personalities who, in their own way, are determined to pull Briar back from the edge. Each one brings something different to the table: Cade, the charming jokester; Lex, the sweet, sensitive soul; and Reid, the ultimate “alpha” with a bite to his personality that sometimes makes him hard to love. Reid’s intense, in-your-face approach is definitely a standout, but there were moments when I wasn’t sure if he was helping or pushing Briar further away. As Briar battles her inner demons, the tension between her and these three men shifts and evolves, creating a dynamic that’s intense and multifaceted. Though the romance isn’t what I initially expected (and be warned, it’s not RH), the journey to Briar finding herself—and finding love—is a journey worth taking. The emotional stakes are high, but the book doesn’t stop there. Alongside the turmoil of Briar’s grief, there’s a toxic ex-girlfriend who’ll have you shaking your head and an online boyfriend who adds a layer of suspense that keeps you guessing. While I had a hunch about the boyfriend’s true nature from the start (and my suspicions were spot-on), I would’ve loved a little more of a twist to keep things even more unpredictable. All in all, Free Fall is a captivating read that held my attention from start to finish. While it’s not the typical RH story many might expect, it’s a beautifully crafted F/M romance with deep emotional resonance and a story that lingers long after the last page. If you're ready for a story that tugs at your heartstrings and delivers more than just a romance, this one’s for you. Just go in with an open mind and a box of tissues—you’re going to need them. Review: Read 3 times already - So I happened to find this little gem maybe 6 or 8 months ago. Not sure why it popped up on my suggestion list since all I read is Reverse Harem now. And this definitely isn't a Reverse Harem book. Look I'll read a regular M/F book if I think I'll like it, but they usually don't capture my attention anymore like RH does. But sometimes it happens. I will say this is my third time reading this book and I'm finally going to write a review for it. I will start by saying I liked Briar in this book, I felt for her in this book, I think she was pretty relatable in this book. She's a young girl who just unexpectedly lost her big brother to an aneurysm and she makes a bad mistake by running away. I think it was understandable and at least she realized what she did was wrong. I unfortunately wasn't a fan of Reid's. I didn't like how he treated her, I didn't like how he spoke to her, I didn't like how he was trying to control what she did or didn't do. Cause let's be honest here it was about control here. Look I get he was scared she was just going to up and leave again, I get he was trying to help her parents out. But there had to be a better way to doing it. Like I said above I obviously loved this book because I've read it three times. I did have some issues with it though as mentioned with Reid, I didn't like how he spoke or tried to control things Briar did. I also loved Lex and Cade. Especially Lex, I almost wish she had chosen Lex over Reid. I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!

ugh was really in between 3 and 4 so 3.5!
Okay so this book hooked me from the start! The only reason I’m not giving it a 4 is because I was honestly just waiting for the other shoe to drop and the twist was predictable. The story is super captivating and I read it in one sitting. If you don’t mind a predictable twist then read this! It honestly doesn’t bother me that much but does effect my rating. Not a lot of juicy spice as well but it’s high school so I get it lol.

Very heavy issues in this book.
This book dives into some serious issues with the loss of a brother and best friend and how everyone copes with such a tragic event. Briar is the younger sister of Brady the renowned football player with a heart of gold, who tragically passes away suddenly. Left behind is how she feels and she spirals down a dark path of loneliness only to get pulled out by her brother's best friends and teammates. There is kinda a bully themed issues with guys but it's more like a hard kick to get her to understand she's not alone and she's hurting everyone who cares about her by her attitude. She has a few weak moments that lead to some serious life changing moments and yes the book ends on a cliffhanger. This book has a lot of emotional moments with all the characters but it's Briar's POV throughout it. If you want something that takes you on a emotional ride from dealing with a sudden loss to sexually experimenting to dull the pain to finding a love that may get taken away again. This is a complex journey of figuring out how to handle grief and the uncertainty life throws at you. Definitely recommend it.

duet
Ends in a cliffhanger… the death of her brother sends her into a spiral, but her brothers best friends are there to pick up the pieces. High school drama filled book with a mean girl and more. Has heat, drama, chemistry and more. A good read.

So. Many. Feels.
What happens when the one person you could count on is gone? Just like that, snap. How are you supposed to go on living in a world that suddenly is like the Twilight Zone? How do you move forward? How is everyone else living life without him? Briar Page may not know the answers to any of these questions, but she sure as hell has to find out. With the sudden death of her older brother, Brady, she is thrown into a world that no longer makes sense. She has to move forward, but she CANNOT fathom a world where he no longer lives. Everything hurts, and no one seems to understand except Ezra. Cade, Lex, and Reid were her brother's best friends who step up no that he longer is around. They push, and Briar pushes back harder. Along with Juliet, her brother's girlfriend, she learns that while life will no longer be the same she does have to move forward. This group of guys and Jules help Briar see just how much they care about her. Briar gets to see that not everyone is exactly who they portray and gets to know people at school as more then just Brady's sister. This doesn't always go good for her now that her number 1 is no longer around to support and protect her. The chemistry that E.M. Moore writes between the characters is phenomenal. E.M. writes about a very tough subject, but does it in a way that is real and raw. There were definitely times that I felt what Briar felt, and wanted to go through the book and help h er out. There are only a handful of authors that I can truly get lost into their books, and E.M. Moore has become one of them for me recently. I can only sit on the edge of my seat as I wait for book two to see what happens with the group from Spring Hill!

Yet again another fabulously addicting read!
E.M. Moore is a master at creating stories that suck you right in with all the feels, emotions angst and heat and Free Fall was no exception! I absolutely loved how she crafted a story that pulls at your heartstrings, breaking you into pieces, finally slowly puts you back together and then BAM! Another crazy twist after twist! And that ending?!? Trust me and grab book 2 while you’re at it cause you’re going to need it lol

I wanted it to be an RH
Half way through I had to look at the book description again to make sure this wasn’t an RH. I actually wanted it to be because it’s clear she likes all three of the guys. It also felt like her feelings for Cade and Lex just switched off when she got with Reid. I like Reid, but I think she needed all three. I think the Ezra thing was predictable, but I thought it was one of the guys for a while until he turned and then it was obvious who he was and what he wanted. The feelings of loss are realistic, but I think it makes it seem like the parents moved on a little too easily. It shouldn’t be only Jules and Briar grieving the way they are. I know it states the guys are too, but you don’t really see that physically, but are rather told that. It’s still really good and kept my attention. Looking forward to the next book.
