This is a great kit for people having hip replacement.

This is almost a complete tool set for use after surgery or as you age. The shoe horn is a little flimsy. The only thing we bought extra was the handle for help getting into and out of a car.It’s essential for daily use.

Excellent quality and extremely useful for knee and hip replacement surgery. Priced lower than retail… it’s all the tools you need and actually will use.

My daughter selected this for me with my hip surgery. I can not begin to tell you what a vast help this set has been!!!! The leg lift is a must-have with leg/knee/hip surgery!! It's strong and completely reliable. The handles are ideal for getting your leg up into bed or onto a chair. I am using it constantly!! The grabber is a very well built and is huge help too. I would NEVER of thought about the sock puller but they put you in these leg compression sox and I would never have been able to put that on with out it!! Don't go to surgery without this kit!!

This also is very helpful for people with BACK issues! You can use items to help get your socks, shoes , and other clothing on. Shower scrubee helps with those hard to reach places! And...if you need to, you can reach your dropped washcloth with your handy grabber. Great price for this kit!

Fantastic starter kit for hip/knee replacement surgery recovery. I bought one for myself and every item has been my best friend since my hip problems started over a year ago and are even more invaluable now that I am recovering from surgery.I bought 2 more packs as early ‘get well gifts’ for my friends who are about to have hip and knee surgery. I would recommend them to anyone.The gadget for pulling socks on is amazing for pulling compression socks on too, which often have to be worn for 6 weeks and are a nightmare to get on and off.The shoe horn is not only amazing for getting shoes on but also really helpful in getting those rascal compression socks off, because you can’t bend forward for around 6 weeks after hip replacement. Also useful for catching clothing when getting dressed.The gripper/grabber is just by my side all the time. Great for getting pants on too! Invaluable.And the leg lifter is vital for at least 2 to 3 weeks if not more after surgery because you really cannot lift your leg without help. Trust me!The sponge on the handle was very useful for washing the operated leg down to the foot because you can’t bend down. I had strip washes for the first 2 weeks until the wound was checked and it was lovely to be able to take the compression socks off is off and freshen up my calves. A joy until the socks go back on!

I purchased this prior to having a hip replacement and was waiting to see how effective it was before writing a review - now 6 weeks post op - the first two weeks were pretty brutal and I needed help so didn't use this then.So this review reflects the 4 weeks of use after that.Conclusion - brilliant ! So pleased with it.(1) A lot of grabbers are pretty 'indifferent'/imprecise/weak but not the one in this kit, which is precise and grabs firmly. It's a joy to use. You can even use it to pull/push your docks off.(2) sock 'putter-on'. I was dubious as it looked like a cross between a skipping rope and a chute. How wrong was I. It's amazing and works perfectly. So pleased as it's really frustrating otherwise to ask for help to put on a sock on the foot of your operate leg.If, like me, you end up wondering why it has a foam rectangle stuck on its underneath - this serves a natty purpose as it prevents your sock sliding off the unit when you load it up with a sock and then start to put your fit in. Genius !(3) Back 'loofa on a stick'. Great quality and does exactly as you'd hope. Really good as you can feel a little unstable in a shower so need to be careful and ensure a non slip mat.(4) leg lift eg for getting into bed - haven't used that as I managed without it but can see the point as it is hard to do at the start and worse if your muscles are weak. Based on experience with the other items I'd infer that it would aid, but ..So, yes, very well worth buying and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
