Two metal rods are 11 inches each and the top rod with the plastic handle is 13 inches long after all three rods are screwed into the handle to complete it. Total length of the metal rods when all three rods are screwed in, total 3 feet long. You can shorten the handle by leaving one of the 11” rods out. Use only one 11” & one 13” rod to make the handle shorter. Use all 3 lengths to make the handle longer at 3 feet. **Q: How can the clean the bristles?** A: I totally LOVE this sweeper!
