The magnetic weights that run down the middle hold it in place, along with the weights on the bottom edge hold it down, This is one of the best screens I have ever bought honestly, yes a little more expensive, but worth every penny, I have had 3 of my friends order for their home and they love it also

I have had no problem with them, overall very pleased with this product.

Q: when removing it does it damage the door frame at all? Pull off paint or leave holes? Thank you. I used to have one that was on tension rod.

This product is mounted to door molding that surrounds the door jambs. You apply a self sticking strip of Velcro tape to the molding and stick the Velcro on screen side to it. When you remove the screen from moldings it pulls off leaving the Velcro strip intact. If you remove the Velcro strip carefully from the door moldings it leaves very little trace.

Q: Do you need the same size as your door or can you buy larger?

The screen can be larger as long as you can secure the sides with the velcro they provide. We use it on a large sliding glass door.
