You don't want to leave that in there for less than 5 minutes and you don't want to leave that in there for more than 5 minutes. So set a timer and start washing it right on the 5 minute mark. It stays in your beard for about 5 days for a medium to large size beards. For smaller beards, maybe about 3 days as the new hair is visible every passing day. Good product.
