4 years - good for cold/brining temps too
I bought this September 2022 after the Treager app stopped notifying me of temperatures being hit with the built in thermometer overcooking our dinner. 4 years later and I just ordered the black one so I can have 4 probes at a time. Most undervalued feature: It goes to 32 degrees which means I can use this for brining and add ice if it gets to 40 degrees. I did this with Turkey for Thanksgiving and it was hard to find thermometer that would set off an alarm at low temperatures. It's had a lot of use in the last 4 years and the thermometer needles are still working that came with it. I have went through 3 Treager probes in 2 years in comparison and gave up using those when I bought this. I use this all the time in both grilling and smoking. I can monitor it while working from home or clip on my belt when I am doing home improvements / chores. This is a great product you won't regret.

This the one
For the price, this is a great buy. It works as it should the first time and is such a valuable tool when grilling outside or doing any cooking. Easy to use and works great. Can see both temps at the same time, has a loud alarm when it reaches set temp. Love it. Can silence alarm with just a touch of any button.

Works Great
Just what I wanted! While this item is not 'sexy' but rather very boxy and tool looking, it does just what I want! I make yogurt and I needed a thermometer which would tell me when the milk had cooled to 110. It is easy, efficient and keeps me from having to babysit the milk while it cools. The remote works all over the house so I can leave the kitchen and still keep track of the temp of the milk. Finally!!

Great Smoker Accessory
I have been cooking for many years, but am new to smoking with a Weber Smokey Mountain. Its kinda scary to put $100 worth of meat inside, close the lid, wait 8 hours & HOPE that everything turns out just right. There are so many things that can go wrong. The ThermoPro essentially allows me to know what is going on inside my smoker, all while sitting on my couch. I used one probe in the thickest meat, and the other to monitor the air temp inside the smoker. This allowed me to adjust the vents to control the temps and to know when the food was perfectly done. Without this, I would have had to constantly monitor the Weber's inaccurate thermometer, and open the smoker to probe the meats with a manual thermometer (the 2nd rack in the WSM is not easy to access with a manual meat thermometer). Weber was thoughtful enough to add a rubber grommet in the side of their WSM - perfect for the ThermoPro's leads to go through. I consider this to be ESSENTIAL for people who BBQ or smoke meats, but this would be great for calibrating an oven, or to check steaks for doneness on the grill. I would imagine it would also be good to monitor the temps of cold smoked meats & cheeses to make sure the temps don't get too high. ----------------------- [UPDATED REVIEW] I have used the TP20 for about 5 smokes now. I even used it once in light rain (I did put a small zip bag over the transmitter, but the rain didn't seem to affect it). I have also carefully washed the probes, being careful not to let water go down into the probe where the wire is crimped into the probe. I am careful not to bend the leads sharply (I store them in a small loop). I haven't had any problems with the probes so far. I only had 1 instance where the units lost signal for a few seconds, but they re-connected automatically within seconds and it has never happened again. I have never had to synch up the 2 units - just install the batteries, plug the probes in & go. The unit is fairly easy to program, however, I find all the meat settings frivolous. The backlight is good, but there is no option to keep it on. After about 45 hours of use, the original batteries are still working, however, I do remove the batteries from the transmitter between cooks, since it has no manual "off" switch (I don't trust the auto off). The temp readings seems very accurate (both read within 1 or 2 degrees of each other) and the temp read time is very quick (stabilizes in about 6 seconds). It will measure temps down to 32 degrees, but not any lower. The construction seems fairly good (it has a plastic/rubberized outer skin and is light/medium weight). Both units have clips for your belt or the lip of a grill/smoker, and the receiver unit has a nice kickstand feature that allows it to stand upright on a table. The probe clip that comes with the unit is not really a grate clip - it is a pot clip for monitoring liquids or oils in a pot, but can be manipulated to work on a thin wire grill grate (just not very well). The alarm is fairly loud, but not overbearing (it will wake you up if necessary). Overall, I like the unit very much. My biggest complaint is that there is no "low" temp alarm setting. It will tell me if my smoker gets above a certain temp, but there is no way to set an alarm if the smoker temps drop too low. Mavrick 732 and 733 have HI/LOW temp alarms, but their quality doesn't seem as good as this one (or easy to program). Guess I will have to get a Thermoworks Smoke, but it doesn't look like the probes on the Smoke will fit through the rubber grommet on my WSM - oh well, can't have everything. If Thermopro ever makes a unit with HI/LOW alarms, I would be very interested, especially if it had inputs for 3 probes. Another suggestion would be to get rid of the different food settings as it only complicates things, also, most people buying this type of stuff know what temps they want for the food.

Excellent company, go for it. Initially i had unreliable probe, the company went above and beyond to fix the problem in no time
One of the probes is giving me hard time, unreliable readings, i made sure the its connectly tightly, rotated it but unfortunately its unreliable in reading the temp, when i swap the probes, the problem persists so i figured its related to the probe itself. I was so excited about it initially as i was cooking with one probe (the one that was working fine) but then the day i used the other one i discovered the malfunctioning probe and boy it was a big disappointment. Im considering retrninng the product. Be aware when u buy as i found that others had he same issue how ever some suggesting rotating the insertion until it works, that is not helping in my case ### update### Ok, so they get 5 stars for the following Excellent customer service, Mark went above and beyond to recognize and address my concerns, and because they did not have replacement probes at this time, he sent me a whole other device so I can utilize the probe from that one. My product is working fine now, and Im impressing everyone with the accuracy of level of doneness when Im grilling, this really brought peace of mind when it comes to grilling, you don't have to open the grill every minute to check on your food, I do my searing and then place the probes in over the last couple minutes of grilling, and the device will monitor closely and remotely and will beep when its ready , never failed, I Grill 3 times a week and this device is a must. tried it with Salmon fish when I grilled it using cedar plank, and boy did I impress everyone, yes. I tried it with burgers , especially when you are grilling different thickness burgers at the same time, having two probes is great. lamb rack, steaks , you name it. Do not hesitate and go for it, and you are backed by excellent company and customer service seeking your complete satisfaction. Thank you Mark for all your help.

Nice Product
Works well. The only complaint I have is that the piece you plug the probes into, you have to take the batteries out to turn it off. Also for my smoker I wish you could plug the probes in on either side not just one side. I like the product over all. So far easy to use.

Good Product - Amazing Service
I love this product. I have used it for almost a year and it has been easy and flawless and my food turns out fantastic. I smoke outside and am able to keep track of what's going on (temp wise) inside the house and around the property. On that alone I give this a 5 star rating. BUT... and this is HUGE... I ran into a problem. For some reason the devices have stopped talking with one another. I have run through the trouble shooting, replaced the batteries, all the tips and tricks and it just wont work. So I called customer service. Told him (Alex) what was going on. He asked when I bought it, asked for my order number, and them processed a replacement. No hassles. No questions. No problems. It stinks that the device is not working. But that happens. But having a company that will stand by their product, take care of the customer, and do so in such a great way.... THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN MUCH ANYMORE! Thank you! Good product. AMAZING service. Yes, I will be coming back with future purchases.

Perfect gift for a barbecue dad
We've all been there. Welcoming guests and saying hi to that uncle you haven't seen in years while the barbecue burns to a crisp that meat that you lovingly marinated for hours before carefully placing it on the sizzling grill. This simple and highly effective device turns any barbecue chef into an expert and pays for itself quickly by saving charcoal or gas as well as the meat you are cooking. Turn it on, plug it in, select 'beef' (or whatever is on the menu) and forget about it. The remote unit you keep near you beeps to tell you when the meat is perfect. Meanwhile, you can serve drinks, catch up with your niece and her husband and astound everyone with a perfect barbecue experience every time. I use it in the kitchen, too, when I know I'm going to forget about the chicken in the oven while working on some DIY home improvement project.

Thermopro TP20 - Great Product to have
This is an excellent Food Thermometer for the oven. It allows you to cook and monitor the temperature of two different meats at the same time in one oven. Temperature is very accurate. Also allows you to carry the monitoring part together with you, while the actual Bluetooth thermometer is in the kitchen near the oven. Great product to have.
