Thank you for your question. Our Best Nest Men's Multi contains vitamin D3 (as Cholecalciferol) 1000 IU for best absorption. Vitamin D3 comes from the lanolin in sheep's wool from unharmed sheep. There are no plant sources that contain enough Vitamin D3, and the jury is still out about lichen as a highly absorbable vitamin D3 source. Vitamin D2 is made from plants or yeast. Many experts believe that D2 is not well absorbed or utilized because it is from plants and not the type of vitamin D our bodies are used to dealing with. Vitamin D3 is the exact form of vitamin D found in the body, and it is the type the sun induces our bodies to make. D3 is therefore, better absorbed, is the preferred form for supplementation, and is what we use in our highly bioavailable premium vitamins. Our product is made in the USA. Vegetable stearate is a magnesium salt. Cocoa and flaxseeds are examples of foods that contain substantial amounts of vegetable stearate. Considering the widespread prevalence of magnesium deficiency (over 80% of the population), vegetable stearate can actually have a beneficial effect on the body by supplying magnesium.
