These trunk guards really ARE a great idea, but it is almost impossible to stack them on a tree trunk. That is, the horizontal closure AND the vertical closure must both be complete, but it is almost impossible to accomplish that feat. This is what happens when you accept the lowest bid for manufacturing your idea.

This is a good product, however it’s not really adjustable down to smaller sizes. The image makes it look like you can use it for smaller trunks, but if you cut it down, there is no fastener. I managed to make it work, but I had to re-engineer it.

The plastic is flimsy and the holes to extend the height are larger than the studs so it does not stay fastened. I'm returning.

I got these to deter my dog from chewing the bark off of a newly planted tree. It was easy to put on and the 2 pieces attached together to cover the entire bottom part of the trunk. Withstands the weather well and my dog hasn't tried to bother my tree since I put this on.

Overall it does what it is intended to do. Easy to use and assemble. The notch to hold the connector from other end is very flimsy. Other than that it is a good product.

My only complaint is that I had to buy 2 packs to protect 2 little trees. Seems sturdy and will protect my little trees from cat scratches.

They were easy to use and expand. Worked perfectly for our project.

I like that I can cut these and double them up I needed something to protect my trees and plants from my whipper snipper. I love the fact I can cut them in half and join them together cats my cost in half and still protects more trees
