Technically, you should be able to do this with Warre hives as well. **Q: Is this a honey super or a deep box (hive body)?** A: I received a 10 frame deep box with frames and I waxed foundation. I am very pleased with it. Went together well and is working well. You will need to wax the foundation for the bees to want to draw it out. **Q: What is the foundation made of? Is it plastic?** A: The foundation I received is a black plastic with a honey comb dimpled appearance. My bees went rite to work building honey comb on it. **Q: Is this everything I need?
